My preliminary research suggests their only child was Minnie May Palmer (1871-1922). FSTrees claims two other sons, Hector (1873-1873) and LaForest Palmer (1874-1874). However the source cited (A Guideline to Humboldt County Births Before 1900, Compiled by Marilyn Keach Milota, Humboldt County Genealogical Society, Eureka, CA March 1999, Family History Library, 35 N West Temple Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84150 USA, Page number: Pg. 622) does not exist in the FHL catalog on 29 May 2019, nor can I find it online. Neither can I find Find A Grave memorials for these two boys.6,7

Clearly not John R. b 1848 unless either the 1850 or 1860 is way off. Final child in the household is 10 yo George Dickinson. Is he from a prior marriage of Mary Jane?4

Marriage*He married Eliza Jane "Jennie" Andereck, daughter of William Jacob Andereck and Sarah E. Meredith, on 5 June 1913 in Marion Co., Illinois. My preliminary research suggests their children were Hazel Adele Williams (1915- , m. Orval H "Bing" Mason 1932), Glenn Allen Williams (1917-2011, m. Alice Mae Joyce), and Merle Edgar Williams (1922-2012, m. Shirley Vaughn ca 1951).3,4 
Census1920*Edgar and Eliza appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Sandoval Twp., Marion Co., Illinois, enumerated 2 January 1920, as 36 yo coal miner Edgar & 30 yo wife Jennie Williams. Their children 5 yo Hazel & 2 yo Glen Williams were listed as living with them.5 
Census1930Edgar and Eliza appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Sandoval Twp., Marion Co., Illinois, enumerated 28 April 1930, as 46 yo coal miner Edgar A & 40 yo wife Eliza J Williams. Their children 15 yo Hazel A, 12 yo Glenn A, and 8 yo Merle E Williams were listed as living with them.6 
Census1940Edgar and Eliza appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Sandoval Twp., Marion Co., Illinois, enumerated 2 April 1940, as 56 yo coal miner Edgar A & 50 yo wife Eliza J Williams. Their sons 22 yo Glenn and 18 yo Merle Williams were listed as living with them.7 
Census1950Edgar and Eliza appeared on the 1950 Federal Census of Sandoval Twp., Marion Co., Illinois, enumerated 5 May 1950, as 66 yo farmer Edgar A & 61 yo wife Eliza Jane Williams.8
