     His writeup in brother Isaac's Find A Grave memorial reads in part, "Enlisted: 18 May 1861, Edinburg. POW May 1864, Spotsylvania Court House; to Fort Delaware; exchanged 27 Feb 1865, City Point. Admitted Chimborazo Hospital #2, 6 Mar 1865 for pneumonia. He is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Richmond Va which is on the grounds where the Chimborazo Hospital was located. He only lived only 4 days from the time he was admitted.6 
Death*Raphael died on 10 March 1865 at Chimborazo Hospital No. 2 in Richmond, Virginia, of pneumonia. Raphael gets a write-up in brother Isaac's Find A Grave memorial. Find A Grave cites Shenandoah County Confederates.1,6 
Burial*He was buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia. Find A Grave provides photo of his section of the graveyard but not of his specific stone, if such exists.7
