ResearchNote*	Research Note of 8 October 2121 re military. Sidney may have been in the US Navy during WWII. There are numerous entries for a Sydney Lee Blair in Ancestry's WWII Navy Muster Rolls database. This Sidney enlisted in Atlanta on 21 Sep 1942. His service number was 637 52 44.      In May 1943 we find him aboard USS SC-453, a sub chaser. On 09 Aug 1943 he was abord the USS YMS-231, a minesweeper, with rank SM3c. On 24 Sep 1945 he appears to have been stationed at NAS Jacksonfille with the rank of SM1c. This date is indexed as 'Muster Date.11'

Marriage*	His first marriage was to Fannie L. Hudgins on 18 January 1903 at Caswell Co., North Carolina. My preliminary research suggests their only child was Louise Blair (c1905- , m. Henry Otis Winn 1921 in Danville). Louise's marriage record says she was daughter of C I & F R (not F L) Blair. Louise & Henry had at least four children, Thelma V, Lois F, Marion E (a daughter according to her headstone), and William Winn.8,9

Their 4 yo granddaughter Sibyl Blair was listed as living with them. Impressive! Neither Charlie nor Lessie aged at all since the 1930 census.17
Residence	Charlie and Lessie resided at 240 Jefferson Ave. in Danville, Virginia, in 1942.18
Death*	Charlie died on 20 September 1953 at Annie Penn Memorial Hospital in Reidsville, Rockingham Co., North Carolina, at age 71, of a fractured skull when 'passenger car ran off railway'.6,2
Burial*	He was buried on 22 September 1953 at Mountain View Cemetery in Danville, Virginia. Harvey is unknown but all the others are kin to William.12

Find A Grave's claims 12 Dec 1892 without proof but that's also the date shown on her death certificate. Her son William Jr was informant on the death cert so likely provided same date to the stonecutter. The average of her four censuses work out to a birthyear of ca. 1894! Nancy was a sister to Jonathan's m1 Martha A Belton based on the names/initials of their parents.2,3,4,5
Marriage*	She married William Jonothan Blair Sr., son of James Addison Blair and Mahalia Allowyne Elliott, on 30 April 1915 in Danville, Virginia. Marriage*	She married Ernest Linwood Blair, son of Robert Young Blair and Louisa Emma Oaks, on 7 May 1925 in Caswell Co., North Carolina. FamilySearch has two marriage records which appear to be for this couple. The one I'm citing references Ernest's parents R W & Louisa Blair. The other record does not mention his parents, the marriage date is 7 June rather than 7 May, adds Yanceyville as city, and gives Gladys' surname as Hundley rather than Hender.3,5,6
