This the second marriage for Grace; she is Mrs. Grace Carter in her father's obituary. Eugene's obit in Times Record News (08 May 1937) says he was survived by his wife Grace and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Daugherty of Denison and Mrs. G H McAdams of Wichita Falls.5,6

Milit-Service*	Daniel W. Myers served as a Private with Cos. G & E, 111th Regiment, Illinois Infantry during the Civil War from 14 September 1862 to 6 June 1865. Joining at Middleton, Illinois, mustering in at Camp Marshall, Illinois, and out at Washington, DC.5,4,6
Marriage*	He married Martha Ann Myers, daughter of George Myers and Catherine Andereck, on 12 September 1867 in Marion Co., Illinois. In the 1900 census Martha is enumerated as having been married at age 20.7,6

I'm not certain this is our Daniel but age and birthstate are correct and his wife Martha is living with her father. Perhaps he headed west to make a few dollars. Daniel died in 1892 so we don't see him and Martha together again in the census record.9
Death*	Daniel died on 2 June 1892 at at his home in Allen Co., Kansas, at age 51. In Will Myer's obit of 1918 it states that his sister Martha's 'companion' died in the spring of 1892.10,3,2,11

Birth*	Maggie was born in 1859 in Sumner Co., Tennessee, d/o Patton Trout & Amanda Black. The 1880 census suggests 1861; 1885 says 1859; both say TN.2,3,4
Census1880	Maggie appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Odin Twp., Marion Co., Illinois, as 19 yo helper Maggie Trout in the household of her future father-in-law George Myers; as 56 yo farmer George Myers.5
Marriage*	She married Andrew Jack Myers, son of George Myers and Catherine Andereck, on 12 August 1880 in Odin Twp., Marion Co., Illinois. AJ was married & living w/ his father in the 1885 KS Census. Maggie's name is nearly illegible in the 1900 Census - could say May or Mary. In the 1930 census he claims to have been married at age 23, she at 20 so 1880 is the year that fits each fact ±1 year.6,7

Census1900*	Maggie and Andrew appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Osage Twp., Allen Co., Kansas, enumerated 2 June 1900, as 41 yo farmer A J & 39 yo wife Mag Myers. Their children Walter W. and Edith Amanda were listed as living with them, along with Andrew's 76 yo widowed father George. Brother Isaac's enumeration begins on the previous page and ends at top of Andrew's.10
Census1910	Maggie and Andrew appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Baker, Crawford Co., Kansas, enumerated 7 May 1910, as 52 yo night watchman A J & 49 yo wife Maggie Meyrs. Their children Edith Amanda, May Della and Walter W. were listed as living with them, as well as Edith's 27 yo husband Oscar Raines , their 0.1 yo daughter Nellie Genevieve Raines, Mame's husband 35 yo Ellzey and 10 yo son Loyed Forest Daugherty, and Walter's 18 yo wife Escey Myers. There are three families in this household but only one family (AJ & Maggie) is numbered. The heads were AJ & Maggie, Ellzey & Mame Daugherty, and Walter & Escey Myrs. The enumerator's handwriting is okay but he probably couldn't spell his own name.11
Census1920	Maggie and Andrew appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of La Harpe, Allen Co., Kansas, enumerated 1 June 1920, as 63 yo general store salesman A J & 59 yo wife Maggie Myers.12
Census1930	Maggie and Andrew appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of La Harpe, Allen Co., Kansas, enumerated 14 April 1930, as 72 yo Jack A & 69 yo wife Maggie Myers. Jack's 83 yo widowed sister Martha Myers was listed as living with them, as well as grandchildren 20 yo Genevieve, 15 yo Russell and 12 yo Leon Raines, children of Jack & Maggie's daughter Edith and her husband Oscar Raines, both deceased.13
Move*	Maggie moved her residence from Iola to Pittsburg, Crawford Co., Kansas after 14 April 1930.14
Death*	Maggie died on 27 November 1937 at home of her daughter Mrs. Mae Haskins in Mulberry, Crawford Co., Kansas.14,3,15
