Birth*Marcy, daughter of Ebenezer Bartlett and Anna Ball, was born on 26 January 1749/50 in Newton, Middlesex Co., Province of Massachusetts Bay, New England. Her name is Mercy in some records.4,5,2,3
Marr-Banns*Marriage banns for Marcy W. Bartlett and Asa Barton were published on 1 February 1770 at Newton, Middlesex Co., Province of Massachusetts Bay, New England. Issue per Hibner are Aaron and Eunice (1772-?).6,7
MarriageHer first marriage was to Asa Barton on 1 February 1770 at Newton, Middlesex Co., Province of Massachusetts Bay, New England. My preliminary research suggests their children were Aaron Barton (?-?), b. Needham, MA; m. Sally Smith 1793; five children at Hibner; and Eunice Barton (1772- ), m. Elijah Swan 1772; ten children at Hibner.
Early Settlement says it was Mercy's sister Mary who m. Asa Barton. I'm sticking with Hibner.8,2

Marriage*Her second marriage was to Sgt. Oliver Fenno on 10 November 1785 at Bethel, York Co. (now Oxford), District of Maine. My preliminary research suggests their children were Sarah Fenno (1787- ); Elisha B Fenno (1788-1821), Find A Grave's death year is 1812 but the Maine Cemetery Record attached to his mother's memorial says 1821; Abigail Fenno (1790- ); Mary Fenno (1794- ). Elisha and Mary have Find A Grave memorials.7,9
Death*Marcy died on 24 February 1821 at age 71.3

Birth*Moses, son of Ebenezer Bartlett and Anna Ball, was born on 13 November 1756 in Newton, Middlesex Co., Province of Massachusetts Bay, New England.3,4,1,2,5
Milit-Service*Moses Bartlett served as a private with Capt. Amariah Fuller's Company, Col. Thatcher's Regiment during the Revolutionary War in April 1775. His company marched to Cambridge on the alarm of 19 April, service 4 days.6,7
MoveJonathan, Thaddeus, Moses, Stephen and Peregrine joined the move of their brother, Enoch from Newton to Bethel, Maine, on the Androscoggin River between 1779 and 1781.8,9
Marriage*His first marriage was to Mary Barbour circa 1784. My preliminary research suggests their children were Moses Bartlett Jr. (1785-1795), Barbour E Bartlett (1786-1861, m. Julia Twitchell; seven children at Find A Grave), Sylvia Bartlett (1788- ) and Elhanan Bartlett (1790-1790).7
Marriage*His second marriage was to Esther Beals on 31 July 1791 at Newton, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts. My preliminary research suggests their children were Esther Bartlett (1792-1856, m. James Hodsdon; one child at Find A Grave), Moses Bartlett (1798- ) and Mary Bartlett (1801- , m. Nathaniel Brown of N. Yarmouth, ME).
Year only in Early Settlements. NEHGS lists Moses as "of Sudbury, Canada".10,7,11
Move*Moses and Esther moved their residence from Bethel (?) To Canada, according to Jackson. This makes no sense if Hibner's information is correct about marriages, children, military record, residences, etc.8
Death*Moses died on 16 January 1818 in Bethel, Oxford Co., District of Maine, at age 61. Hibner says Bethel, Oxford, ME. Find A Grave says Hanover, Oxford, ME. They're close, only 12 miles apart on US2 today.7,5
Burial*He was buried at Hanover Cemetery in Hanover, Oxford Co., Maine. Find A Grave provides headstone photo.5
