Find A Grave provides a short bio of the father and makes a presentable case for his father's name. John & Sarah were shown in a now defunct Ancestry database named Family Data Collection - Individual Records but the source of the source is not recorded.2
Marr-Bond*	William Mack and Mary "Polly" Blair posted a marriage bond on 2 October 1799 at Pittsylvania Co., Virginia. William's Find A Grave memorial gives this as marriage date without citation.3,4,5
Census1820	William appeared on the 1820 Federal Census of Maury Co., Tennessee, with a household listed as 11001-3211 as 26-44 yo William Mack. A perfect match. The female 16-26 is Mary since sister Sarah is already married.6
Census1830	William appeared on the 1830 Federal Census of Maury Co., Tennessee, with a household listed as 00100001-0011101 as 50-59 yo William Mack. This enumeration is perfect except for Mary being one bracket too young. This neighborhood was enumerated twice, on p. 423 as cited here, and again on p. 360. Same people in both enumerations but the p. 360 version lists William as 00000001-00111001. This one misses William R. H. completely but has Mary in the correct slot. I've cited the one which accounts for all the family even though it's got one age bracket error.7

Census1860	William and Mary appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Dist. 8, Bigbyville P.O., Maury Co., Tennessee, enumerated 14 June 1860, as 84 yo farmer William & 83 yo Mary Mack. Son William R H Mack and family live next door.10
Estate-Will*	William Mack left a will dated 13 December 1861 at Maury Co., Tennessee, naming as executors two sons-in-law Miles Pinkney "Pink" Murphy Sr. and Newton Harvey Matthews and son William as both executor and hier. Other named heirs included his wife Polly, son John Armenius and daughters Mary "Polly", Sarah Virginia "Sallie", Mary Roberta, Nancy Constancia, Eleanor Ja Cynthia, Eliza Louiza and Julia Johanna.      I made a transcript of this will from the images at TN Wills & Probates.11
Death*	William died on 25 December 1861 in Maury Co., Tennessee, at age 85.2
Burial*	He was buried at Mount Evergreen Cemetery in McCains, Maury Co., Tennessee.2
Estate-Probate	William's will was probated at Maury Co., Tennessee, on 7 January 1862.11

Birth*	Ann was born on 18 May 1789 in Virginia. Find A Grave claims her surname on the Blair marriage license was Price but I've found no supporting evidence. Surname Coleman from the family Bible. Blair Line has her birthyear as 1782 on page 1, 1789 on page 9.4,3,5
Marriage*	She married Capt. James Blair, son of William Blair and Sarah Sutter, on 23 October 1832. Scatterlings claims, in addition to James Young, an unnamed child of this couple born 1826-1830; we have left this person out of the database due to known marriage date of 1832. This may be m2 for Ann. Bible refers to her as Ann S. Price at one point. FSTrees's Virginia Marriages, 1785-1940 says 25 October.6,2,3

Census1850*	Josiah and Frances appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Caswell Co., North Carolina, enumerated 14 September 1850, as 41 yo farmer Josiah & 44 yo Frances Blair. Their children Ann Morning, Sarah Elizabeth, William Thomas, James Nathan, Mary Catherine, John Suter and Eleanor Isabelle "Ellie" were listed as living with them, Also in the home were unknowns 50 yo Mary U Penick and 47 yo Ann W Penick.10

Marriage*	He married Nancy K. Godley before 1843, date based on birthyear of eldest known child.6,1
Census1850*	George and Nancy appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Dist. 99, Warren Co., Missouri, enumerated 5 September 1850, as 38 yo farmer George W & 39 yo Nancy Blear. Their children William Fountain Thomas, Sarah Eliza and Nancy Ellen were listed as living with them. In addition there were two farm hands and 19 yo Susan Mills, relationship if any unknown.7
Census1860	George and Nancy appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Bridgeport Twp., Warren Co., Missouri, enumerated 30 January 1860, as 48 yo farmer G W & 51 yo Nancy K Blair. Their children William Fountain Thomas, Sarah Eliza and Nancy Ellen were listed as living with them, The census page is very faint. I'm taking the HQO indexer's word for most of this. One other person in the household was 14 yo Edith Curley(sp?).8
Census1870	George and Nancy appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Clay Twp., Lafayette Co., Missouri, enumerated 13 September 1870, as 58 yo farmer George & 59 yo Nancy Blair. Their children Sarah Eliza and Nancy Ellen were listed as living with them. There's also an unknown 14 yo farm hand Arthur Blair, his race overwritten 'W' over 'B'. No idea who this is. Son Fountain and his family live next door.9
Census1880	George and Nancy appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Clay Twp., Lafayette Co., Missouri, enumerated 3 June 1880, as 69 yo farmer George W & 71 yo wife Nancy K Blair. Their son William F & family live next door above. Their daughter Sarah Eliza Thompson & family live next door below.10
Death*	George died on 26 November 1884 at age 72.4
Burial*	He was buried at Martin-Carr Cemetery in Wellington, Lafayette Co., Missouri. Headstone photo available at Find A Grave.4

Marr-License*	Benjamin applied for a marriage license to wed Jane Gilkey Nevins at Rutherford Co., Tennessee, on 12 March 1827. The record at FamilySearch says issued 12 Mar 1827, solemnized blank. William Nevins provided surety.      FSTrees lists their children as James Nevin (1825-1912, perhaps m. Harriet Penelopy Montgomery, issue John, Anna, Carrie, Katie, Minnie, Hattie), Nancy Ann (1830-1885), and Lucinda Jane Blair (1836- ).      Dallas claims Benjamin m. Jane G Nevine and had a son William P Blair who m. Elizabeth A Wright, all without citation.3,1
Census1830*	Benjamin Thomas appeared on the 1830 Federal Census of Rutherford Co., Tennessee, with a household listed as 10001-10001 as 20-29 yo Benj T Blare. His wife Jane is probably the 20-29 yo female and children James & Nancy the two under 5 yo.4
Death*	Benjamin died. Ben's FSTrees entry ID no. LK3K-1PY claims he died 1850 but provides no source for this date. Wife Jane's 1850 census enumeration circumstantially supports either his death or divorce.

Marriage*	He married Elizabeth Robertson on 3 December 1842 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia. Two other daughters alleged by various sources but for whom I find no real evidence were Catherine Ann Blair (1851-1861) and Eleanor N Blair (1860- ).6
CensusLead*	The 1850 census listed a The major problem with this enumeration, and there are several, is that Ralph is called Joseph. His name has been overwritten and may not be exactly Joseph but it's certainly not Ralph.      Elizabeth's age of 29 is fine. Son William is 9 but should be around 6 yo, daughter Mary is 6 but should be 4, daughter Eleanor is 5 but should be 2, son Ralph is okay at 1.      We have independent confirmation that children William, Ralph and Sarah's parents were Ralph & Elizabeth, so it's unlikely Joseph was an m1 for Elizabeth. Was his name really Joseph Ralph E Blair? Unlikely. Perhaps this is a different family in the same county w/ kids of same names.      Elizabeth's FSTrees entry LCJF-DLG explains this away with two marriages; m1 to Joseph Blair c1840 in Pittsylvania Co and m2 to Ralph E Blair on 03 Dec 1842 in Pittsylvania. The 1842 marriage is documented. The alleged first marriage is not, who may be this person, as head of household at Southern Dist., Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.7
Death*	Ralph died before 28 August 1860, based on Elizabeth being listed as HOH in the 1860 census, though her marital status is not noted in that census. Elizabeth is again HOH in 1870 without status. By the 1880 she's finally marked widow.8
Burial*	He was buried at Blair-Stamps Cemetery in Ringgold, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.9

Marr-Bond*	Eleanor L. Blair and James Slaydon posted a marriage bond on 16 December 1832 at Pittsylvania Co., Virginia. They were married on the 19th. This couple has been a research deadend for me.      Dallas claims one other son, William Bryan Sladon (1824- ) who m. Sarah Thomas. That makes no sense based on James & Elizabeth's marriage year of 1832.1,5

Birth*	Sarah, daughter of Rev. William Blair Jr. and Nancy Thomas, was born circa 1810. Dallas says ca 1806. I've not found her in any census. If birthyears of her children are accurate she should be in the 1830 and perhaps 1840.3,4
Marr-Bond*	Sarah S. Blair and Rev. Silvany Gardner Jr. posted a marriage bond on 20 September 1830 at Pittsylvania Co., Virginia. They were married on the 23rd.3
Census1830	Sarah is probably the female age 20 to 29 listed in the household of her husband, Rev. Silvany Gardner Jr., in the 1830 Federal Census of Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.5
