Wikipedia writes, "Research by George Ernest Bowman shows that John was not the Jan Tellij that married Prijntgen Van den Velde in Leyden." Their citation is Bowman, George Ernest, "Elizabeth (Tilley) Howland's Will", Mayflower Descendant, Vol. 3, No. 1, Jan 1901, pgs. 54-57. This contradict's Willison's assertion in Saints and Strangers, p. 130, that Tilley's wife was Bridget van der Velde.5,6

FSTrees (entry for George Osborne (1862-deceased), K8VZ-BP9) claims he married Sally T Ault ca 1885 in Missouri and had five children - unnamed, Beulah, Hoyt, Ula, and Olen Roy Osborne. I find no evidence supporting any of these names at FS or in the censuses. It's possible the marriage and all five children fell between the 1880 and 1900 censuses but why are none of them in Henry County in 1900? There is a Hoyt Osborne of appropriate age in Jasper, MO with parents 48 yo George P & 48 yo Sally F Osborn, her maiden name being Ault. George's age is good but that's about all.
