Ann Lnu1

F, #9636, d. after 3 January 1794
Last Edited5 Mar 2025
Birth*Ancestry's Sesson tree alleges her maiden name was Rose. The citation is from Geneanet Community Trees Index. That website (https://gw.geneanet.org/kmonica1?n=rose&oc=&p=ann) references two Ancestry Public Member Trees neither of which has anything useful to say in support of this claim.
Marriage*She married Francis King II, son of Francois "Francis" King Sr. and Christian Vandegrift, before 3 January 1794, she being mentioned as Francis's wife and heir in his will of this date. King writes, In his will Francis named his wife "Ann" yet her maiden name is unknown and it is also uncertain if she was the mother of his children (she might have been his 2nd wife). If fact, all that is known about Ann is that she apparently outlived him--thus dying after 1794.
FSG LZX5-GZX alleges without citation that her surname was Rose.
Ancestry's Sessom tree shows two different marriage dates and locations for this couple - 1750 in New Castle County and 1777 in Morlake, Surrey, England. Garbage.1
CensusNF2Ann is probably the female over age 18 listed in the household of her husband, Francis King II, in the 1782 Census of Saint Georges Hundred, New Castle Co., Delaware.2
Estate-WillAnn was named an heir in the will of Francis King II, her husband, dated 3 January 1794 at Saint Georges Hundred, New Castle Co., Delaware, receiving his bed and furniture, one slave and her daughter, livestock, use of their home during her widowhood, and one third of his real estate.3,4,1
Death*Ann died after 3 January 1794, she being mentioned as Francis's wife and heir in his will of this date.1
