Milit-Service*	Cpl. Clarence Lee Doane served as Corporal with US Army during WWI between 1914 and 1917.2
Marriage*	He married Aida Elizabeth Palmer, daughter of Rev. William Walker Palmer and Lillie May Knox, on 11 June 1921 in Silver Bow Co., Montana. The marriage record is indexed Aida C but it reads Aida E to me. Aida is noted as 24 yo, b Windsor, MO, dau of Palmer & Lillie Palmer 'whose maiden name was Lillie'. Weird, but she's surely the correct person.4
Census1930*	Clarence and Aida appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Winnemucca, Humboldt Co., Nevada, enumerated 2 April 1930, as 31 yo Clarence L & Aida P Doane. Clarence is a car foreman for the railroad.3
Census1940	Clarence and Aida appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Stockton, San Joaquin Co., California, enumerated 3 April 1940, as 50 yo Clarence & 42 yo Aida Doane. Clarence is a mechanic for the railroad.5
Death*	Clarence died on 18 June 1967 in San Joaquin Co., California, at age 78.2

Census1910	Lucian appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Hopkinsville, Christian Co., Kentucky, enumerated 20 April 1910, as 52 yo widower Lucien Cravens. His children 21 yo Ernest & 17 yo Frances Cravens were listed as living with him, as well as his 71 yo uncle James Cravens.8
Death	Lucian was the informant on James Dryden Cravens's death certificate on 28 June 1915. He presumably also provided the information for James' obit in Hopkinsville Kentuckian.9,10,11

Census1900*	Benjamin and Susan appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Mag. Dist. 6, Christian Co., Kentucky, at Lafayette, enumerated 12 June 1900, as 30 yo Jefferson & 24 yo Susan Keeny. Jeff's 23 yo sister Fannie Keeny was listed as living with them.4
Census1910	Benjamin and Susan appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Mag. Dist. 6, Trigg Co., Kentucky, at Canton Rd., enumerated 13 May 1910, as 40 yo Jeff & 34 yo Susan Keeney. I suspect sloppy enumerator here and that this is actually Christian County. In 1900 they were in MD6 Christian. In 1930 again MD6 Christian. Furthermore they lived on Canton Rd in 1910 and again in 1930. I find no evidence of a border change in these two counties between '10 and '30.5

Marriage*	He married Harriet "Hattie" Cravens, daughter of William Cravens and Francis Howe, on 4 June 1891 in Christian Co., Kentucky. My preliminary research suggests their children were Verda Inez (1892-1986, m1 Felix F Atwood, m2 James L Claiborne), William Addison (c1897- ), Bessie E (c1898- ) and Mildred Jones (1914-1983, m. Roy Douglas Cobb). In the 1900 census Hattie shows 4 born with 3 living. In 1910 it's 5 born with 3 living.1,2

Marriage*	His first marriage was to Mary Agnes "Mollie" Cravens, daughter of Elijah Clay Cravens and Esther Wilmuth Palmer, on 5 February 1857 at Christian Co., Kentucky.4,5
Census1860*	John and Mary appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Hopkinsville PO, Christian Co., Kentucky, enumerated 23 April 1860, as 25 yo John & 23 yo Mary Ricketts. Next door above we find a Ricketts family who are likely John's parents, Hezekiah & Sarah, and two siblings, Berlinda & Bazil. They are enumerated as 64 yo H, 56 yo S, 15 yo B E, and 13 yo B M Ricketts. Their names per FSTrees. John's age is off by about 5 years.6
Census1870	John and Mary appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Scates Mill Pct., Christian Co., Kentucky, enumerated 11 July 1870, as 39 yo John T & 32 yo Mary A Ricketts. Their children Easter Virginia "Essie", James Edward and Elijah Hezekiah were listed as living with them. Also in the home were John's brother 28 yo Basil Ricketts and 70 yo John Pool. John's parents still live next door.2
Marriage*	His second marriage was to Julia Caroline Means, daughter of Young J. Means and Martha C. Palmer, on 23 July 1876 at Christian Co., Kentucky.7,8
Census1880*	John and Julia appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Hopkinsville, Christian Co., Kentucky, enumerated 1 June 1880, as 50 yo John T & 37 yo Carrie Ricketts. Their children James Edward, Elijah Hezekiah and John T. were listed as living with them.3
Death*	John died on 1 September 1896. Find A Grave's date works with John's m2 Caroline being a widow in the 1900 census.9,10
Burial*	He was probably buried at Riverside Cemetery, Hopkinsville, Christian Co., Kentucky, in Section R. Note that there's an unlinked Carolyn Ricketts, likely John's m2, in Section R with a death date that works very well with the census record.9
ResearchNote*	Research Note of 8 June 2019 re censuses. We have good census data for John & Mollie for years 1860-1880. I believe I've found Mollie in Cravens Cemetery but have been unable to find a burial record for John.      Three of their four known children show up at least once in the censuses. All four have a quality source connecting the child with both parents. After that it gets challenging. See ResearchNotes attached to the individual children for follow-up.

Birth*	Manne, daughter of John T. Ricketts and Mary Agnes "Mollie" Cravens, was born on 24 August 1858 in Christian Co., Kentucky.1
Death*	Manne died before 23 April 1860, date assumed by Manne's absence in the 1860 census when she would have been only 2 yo.3
ResearchNote*	Research Note of 8 June 2019 re challenges. There are three birth records at FamilySearch but they're all essentially the same one so any errors in the original transcription have carried into the other two. Manne is not in the 1860 or any subsequent census which strongly suggests she died quite young. In Cravens Cemetery we find an A B Ricketts (1858-1860) whom I believe to be this person. An original birth entry of 'M anne Ricketts' could easily devolve into Manne R Ricketts. The letters B & R are frequently confused. The first letter of a woman's maiden name often mistakenly ends up as her middle initial in later records. Finally, her mother, grandparents, and a couple aunts & uncles are buried at Cravens Cemetery.4

Marriage*	He married Essie Virginia Means, daughter of Winfield Scott Means and Easter Virginia "Essie" Ricketts, on 20 October 1911 in Davidson Co., Tennessee. The license was issues 14 October with the actual marriage on the 20th. My preliminary research suggests their only child was Carl Joseph Drumright (1912-1948).3,4,5
Census1920*	William and Essie appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee, enumerated 16 January 1920, as 33 yo Will L & 32 yo Essie V Drumright. Their 7 yo son Carl J Drumright was listed as living with them.6
Census1930	William and Essie appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee, enumerated 3 April 1930, as 43 yo Wm S & 43 yo Essie V Drumright. Their 17 yo son Carl J Drumright was listed as living with them.7

Elijah is marked 'W' in the marriage column. Someone has overwritted 'Wd'. Either way it means widower. If Find A Grave is correct and his wife Kate didn't die until 1953 something is amiss. Marriage*	She married Charles Kennedy between 1867 and 1868. Married 32 years with 7 born and 5 living in the 1900 census. My preliminary research suggests their children were Barbara Ella "Mollie" (1868-1952, m. John Thomas Arterburn Sr), Charles W (c1870- ), James W (c1870- ), Minnie L (c1873- ), George W (c1876- ), Emma E (1879-1880), and John W (c1882- ) Kennedy. Sources for these children not cited in parental tags include Find A Grave memorial and death record for Barbara, otherwise zilch. The 1880 rules state that if a person died before 1 Jun 1880 then they are to be left off the enumeration. From this I conclude Emma had died.5,6
