Birth*	Elizabeth was born on 5 February 1821 in Kentucky. Maiden name Kerr per Find A Grave. She apparently had married Mr. Duke prior to Rankin as that's her surname on the Missouri marriage record.2
Marriage*	She married Sinnet Rankin on 20 August 1848 in Jasper Co., Missouri. My preliminary research suggests their children were Caroline (c1849- , m. George Graham c1865), Sinnet Jr. (1851-1869), Ursula (c1855- ), Ellen (c1860- ), Rachel (c1860- ) and Elizabeth Rankin (c1864- , perhaps m. Emanuel Kirby).      I think it likely that Ellen and Rachel are the same person as Ellen is 0.1 yo in 1860 and Rachel is 10 yo in 1870 yet neither is in the other census.1
Census1850*	Elizabeth and Sinnet appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Dist. 41, Jasper Co., Missouri, enumerated 17 October 1850, as 48 yo farmer Sinnet & 28 yo Elizabeth Rankin. Their children 21 yo Jacob, 19 yo William, 14 yo Susan, 11 yo Margaret and 1 yo Caroline Rankin were listed as living with them. Sinnet's 22 yo daughter is there (as Mary Dawson) with her 26 yo husband Thomas W Dawson. Others in the home were 52 yo Jacob Rankin (Sinnet's brother?), 6 yo Genira Duke and 4 yo Mary T Duke, likely children from Elizabeth's m1 to Fnu Duke.3

Estate-Will	Elizabeth was named executrix and an heir in the will of Sinnet Rankin, her husband, dated 21 May 1866 at Jasper Co., Missouri.5
Census1870*	Elizabeth appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of North Fork Twp., Jasper Co., Missouri, enumerated 26 July 1870, as 49 yo Elizabeth Rankin. Her children 16 yo Ursula, 10 yo Rachel and 6 yo Elizabeth Rankin were listed as living with her. Her 21 yo daughter Caroline (as Caroline Graham) was in the home with 32 yo husband George and their children Mary E & Elmer Graham. Two others in the home are challenging - 24 yo Mary Rankin and 11 y George Laughlin. If Mary is mis-aged she could be daughter Mary who should be around 42 yo. No idea who George is.6

Joseph isn't related to Araminta but their families are certainly allied.8
Death*	Araminta died on 12 June 1904 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia, at age 65.2

Census1860*	John and Araminta appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Southern Dist., Pittsylvania Co., Virginia, enumerated 29 August 1860, as 26 yo druggist John H & 21 yo Araminta Holcombe. Their son Charles H. was listed as living with them, as well as two clerks (one of whom is 1st cousing to Araminta, Charles Keen Carter) and one merchant, apparently boarders.2

Birth*	Nancy was born on 4 October 1861 in Johnson Co., Kansas, d/o John & Nancy Reed Jenkins. Her name is Nannice on her headstone. In 2018 her Find A Grave memorial said she was born in Ravenna, Fannin, TX. By 2024 it says Johnson Co., KS.1,2
Marriage*	She married Albert F. Wood, son of Franklin W. Wood and Mary Ann "Polly" McKee, on 26 August 1878 in Lamar Co., Texas. Married 22 years with 10 born & 5 living in the 1900 census. In the 1910 she's married 30 years with 6 born & 5 living! Someone's memory is faulty.3,4,5

Marriage*	He married Nancy Witcher Jones, daughter of Decatur Jones and Nancy Harriet Keen, on 27 November 1867. The date is suspect. Victor is living with his father in the 1870 census but no sign of Nancy. Issue per Find A Grave were: Isabelle, Harriet, Calvin Decatur, Thomas Jones, Victory Clay, and Calvin Nicks McAdoo.2
Death*	Victor died on 5 November 1878 in Greensboro, Guilford Co., North Carolina, at age 33.2
