Census1900*	Nettie and John appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Pencader Hundred, New Castle Co., Delaware, enumerated 15 June 1900, as 35 yo farmer J Sherman & 33 yo wife Nittie B Dayett. Their children 6 yo Harry A, 4 yo Margaret E and 0.1 yo Helen C Dayett were listed as living with them. Sherman's father and step-mother live three doors above.4
Census1910	Nettie and John appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Rep. Dist. 11, New Castle Co., Delaware, enumerated 18 April 1910, as 44 yo sawyer Sherman & 42 yo teacher wife Nettie Dayett. Their children 16 yo Harvey A, 16 yo Margaret E, 12 yo Helen C, 9 yo Dorothy W and 2 yo Rhea C Dayett were listed as living with them.5
Census1920	Nettie and John appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of London Bretain Twp., Chester Co., Pennsylvania, enumerated 10 January 1920, as 54 yo miller Sherman & 53 yo wife Nettie Dayett. Their children 25 yo farmer Harvey A, 22 yo telephone operator Helen C, 19 yo bookkeeper Dorothy W and 12 yo Rhea C Dayett were listed as living with them, as well as 24 yo married daughter Margaret E Gregg and her 6 yo daughter (as granddaughter) Bertha L Gregg. No sign of Margaret's husband.6
Census1930	Nettie and John appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Elsmere, New Castle Co., Delaware, enumerated 10 April 1930, as 62 yo saw millman John S & 61 yo wife Nettie B Dayett. Their children 30 yo Margaret (now single) and 21 yo Rhea C Dayett were listed as living with them.7
Death*	Nettie died in 1940.3
Census1940	Nettie and John appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Elsmere, New Castle Co., Delaware, enumerated 13 April 1940, as 75 yo saw millman John S & 75 yo wife Margaret (that's what it says!) Dayett. Their 38 yo widowed daughter Margaret was listed as living with them, as well as two lodgers.8
Burial*	She was buried at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Newark, New Castle Co., Delaware. Find A Grave provides photo of joint headstone with John and his m1.3

Death*	Sarah died. Ancestry's Barczewski Tree claims, without citation, that she died in 1881 but she's missing in both the 1870 & 1880 censuses when she would have been 9 & 19 years old. She would likely have been living with her parents in 1870.      She is not mentioned in her father's will of 20 Feb 1907.3

Birth*	Joseph was born in 1783 in Burke Co., North Carolina.3,4
Marriage*	He married Sarah B. Donaldson, daughter of Andrew James Donaldson and Elizabeth Armstrong, before 1815 in Franklin Co., Tennessee. The 1850 Census implies before 1828 based on birthyear of presumed son James. The assertion that Elizabeth, Cynthia L., and Sarah B. (daughter) were sisters, along with the name match between presumed daughter and mother, implies marriage prior to eldest daughter's birth in 1815. WILSON-L implies marriage in Franklin County, but that could be referring to Sarah's father's home town.4
Occupation	Joseph was named a grand juror. Also in the list was a James Wilson on 2 April 1833 at Obion Co., Tennessee.5
Event-Misc*	Joseph gave by Deed of Gift three slaves to his daughter Elizabeth Mckee, witnessed by A.D. and M.T. Wilson on 24 June 1838 at Troy, Obion Co., Tennessee.1
Move	Joseph and Sarah moved their residence from Franklin Co., Tennessee to Hunt Co., Texas in November 1839. Departure and arrival counties per Howard, although she claims date of ca. 1836. Wilson's conditional certificate for land in Bowie County shows an arrival date in Texas of Nov 1839. WILSON-L claims 1838.6
LandGrant*	Joseph was issued 3rd class headright grant, Conditional Certificate no. 35, recorded in Bowie County, for 640 acres of land in Bowie County, on 5 July 1841 by the Board of Land Commissioners at Bowie Co., Republic of Texas.      Texas GLO website search claims this record is in file 000045 but it isn't. It should be on the next page, but that file (000046) jumps ahead one month. Apparently this particular document was not scanned or was incorrectly numbered. The witnesses were Charles Collom & James Terrill.6
LandGrant	Joseph Wilson witnessed the conditional certificate of Dr. Andrew Donaldson Wilson on 5 July 1841 at Bowie Co., Texas; Conditional Certificate no. 27, recorded in Bowie County, for 320 acres of land in Bowie County, on.7
LandGrant	Isaac McKee and Joseph Wilson witnessed the conditional certificate of Alexander A. McKee on 5 January 1842 at Bowie Co., Republic of Texas; 4th class headright grant, Conditional Certificate no. 62, recorded in Bowie County, for 640 acres of land in Bowie County, on.8
LandGrant	Joseph Wilson witnessed the conditional land grant of Isaac McKee on 5 January 1842 at Bowie Co., Republic of Texas; a 4th class headright grant for 640 acres of land in Bowie County, Conditional Certificate no. 61, on.9,10

LandGrant	Joseph Wilson and Dr. Samuel Wilson McKee witnessed the unconditional certificate of Dr. Andrew Donaldson Wilson on 6 July 1846 at Bowie Co., Texas; Unconditional Certificate no. 28, recorded in Fannin County, a 3rd class headright grant for 320 acres of land in Bowie County, on Conditional Certificate no. 27 of 5 Jul 1841.15
Census1850*	Joseph and Sarah appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Hunt Co., Texas, enumerated 16 October 1850, as 67 yo farmer Joseph & 57 yo Sarah B. Wilson. Their children James A., Sarah B., Joseph, Ann Eliza and Dewitt Clinton were listed as living with them.16,17
Census1860*	Joseph appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Honey Grove, Fannin Co., Texas, enumerated 11 July 1860, as 77 yo farmer Jos Wilson. His children Joseph, Dewitt Clinton and Ann Eliza were listed as living with him. Next door we find his daughter Cynthia, her husband Sam McKee and their family.18
Estate-Will*	Joseph Wilson left a will at Fannin Co., Texas, naming his daughter Ann and "other children" as heirs. Son-in-law James R. McKee was appointed administrator of the estate by the Fannin County Probate Court around July of 1864. The court ordered that McKee's report be approved ca. 23 Nov 1865. S. W. McKee was mentioned in the estate listing.19
Death*	Joseph died before 23 February 1864, based on earliest date found in his estate records.19

Census1940	Winnie and Thomas appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Marshalltown, Marshall Co., Iowa, enumerated 23 April 1930, as 67 yo salesman T C & 66 yo wife Winnie M Blue. Their son 33 yo Gilbert Blue was listed as living with them.8
Death*	Winnie died in 1953.3
