Census1800Albert is probably one of the (an unknown value) males under age 10 listed in the household of his father, Jacob Vandegrift, in the 1800 Federal Census of Saint Georges Hundred, New Castle Co., Delaware.3,4 
Death*Albert died before 26 November 1829. Scharf claims five surviving children and they are all accounted for meaning Albert likely predeceased his mother.5

Marriage*His first marriage was to Wilhelmina Stewart between 1814 and 1819. My preliminary research suggests their children were Julia Ann (1817-1881), Frances (1818- , m. Joseph West 1837 NCC), Jane C (1820- ), Mary Frances (c1822-1886), William Jacob II (1828-1889, m. Mary Ann Hawk 1849 in PA) and William Stewart Hurlock ( -1828).4,1 
Marr-Bond*William J. Hurlock and Unice Manlove posted a marriage bond on 11 January 1836 at Delaware.5 
Marriage*His third marriage was to Jane Caroline Vandegrift, daughter of Jacob Vandegrift and Jane McWhorter, on 13 June 1844 at Saint Georges Presbyterian Church, Saint Georges, New Castle Co., Delaware. No issue per King.6,2,1

Twenty yo Carrie Ochletree, who is one of the heirs in Jane's will, is living with them, as well as two servants and one domestic. William is still quite wealthy showing $100k in real estate and $20k in personal estate.8 
Census1870William and Jane appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Delaware City PO, Red Lion Hundred, New Castle Co., Delaware, enumerated 22 June 1870, as 84 yo gentleman William J & 50 yo Jane C Hurlock. Twenty one yo Catherine Ochletree, who is one of the heirs in Jane's will, is living with them, as well as three black servants. William has apparently sold a lot of his real estate as he now shows $40k in real estate and $105k in personal estate. Jane's age is all over the place in this and the prevous two censuses.9 
Death*William died on 3 October 1872 at age 88.10,1
