ResearchNote | Research Note of 26 November 2024 re military service? Two possibilities in the NPS Civil War Soldiers & Sailors database: 1) Henry Pease. New York. 117th Regiment, New York Infantry. 2) Henry Pease. New York. 125th Regiment, New York Infantry. |
ResearchNote* | Research Note of 26 November 2024 re misinformation. Ancestry's Snell Family Tree makes claims for which it provides no or bogus documentation. Among them, 1) His name was Henry Clay Bartlett Pease. Snell claims three sources. The first two don't mention the name Bartlett. The third is the 1880 census for his brother William. 2) His wife was Rowena Cythera Ives. Rowena was his brother William's wife. The only 'citation' is the same 1880 census of his brother William mentioned above. 3) He was born 06 Nov 1829. No citation provided, though this is possible. He died Feb 1874 aged 44 years. |
