Marriage*He married Nellie May Willis, daughter of James Allen Willis and Martha Elizabeth "Mattie" Myers, on 3 February 1918. Henry's WWI draft card of 05 Jun 1918 lists his father William as next of kin which suggests they were not yet married. However their joint headstone inscription says they were married on the date I've shown. My preliminary research suggests their only child, at least thru the 1940 census, was Delma (c1933- ) Eshleman.4,2,3

I've been unable to find a divorce record.1,2

Milit-Service*Dr. Marion D. Christensen served as Staff Sergeant with the US Army Air Force during WWII between 1943 and 1945. His uncited obit at Find A Grave (I've been unable to find the original) reads in part, He graduated from Mutual in 1943 and immediately joined the war effort in World War II. He was stationed in England and made thirty-five missions over Germany as a ball-turret gunner in a B-17. He was S/SGT Marion D. Christensen of the 8th Army Air Corp. He returned home after completing his thirty-five missions and married his high school sweetheart, Roberta Lea Griffith, on May 6, 1945.1 
Marriage*He married Roberta Lea Griffith, daughter of Cpl. Harlan Bovell Griffith and Mary Catherine Myers, on 6 May 1945 in Woodward Co., Oklahoma. On the marriage return Roberta's mother, Mrs. H B Griffith, and Marion's mother, Mrs. F D Christensen, were witnesses. License date was 05 May. My preliminary research suggests their children were Dennis Christensen (c1947-, m. Shirley Lnu, res. Kiowa 2016), Kathleen Christensen (c1948-, m. Larry Gilchrist, res. Seiling, OK 2016), Sherill Ann Christensen (c1956-, m. Duane Jackson, res. Kiowa 2016) and Steven Christensen (c1957-, m. Carolyn Lnu, res. Kiowa 2016).2

The names on Velma's SS App record read as follows, Mar 1949: Name listed as VELMA LEE MCDONALD; Aug 1962: Name listed as VELMA MCDONALD LOVE; Apr 1969: Name listed as VELMA LEE GRIFFITH; 01 Apr 2000: Name listed as VELMA L GRIFFITH. This suggests she may have divorced Melvin, m2 Fnu Love ca. 1962, then gone back to her Griffith surname by 1969.3
 
Marriage*She married Melvin Donald Griffith, son of Cpl. Harlan Bovell Griffith and Mary Catherine Myers, on 23 November 1952 in Mutual, Woodward Co., Oklahoma. Velma and Melvin are buried is separate cemeteries even though they died only two years apart. Velma's family headstone says she was mother of Don, Sandi and Pat. Melvin's family headstone says he was father of Don, Sandi, Pat and Mona.
