Nancy White1
F, #9843, b. 17 January 1828, d. 25 February 1913
Birth* | Nancy was born on 17 January 1828 in Ohio. In the 1900 census she shows born Jan 1830.2,3 |
Marriage* | She married David A. Myers, son of Daniel Myers and Mary Wilson, on 19 February 1850 in Effingham Co., Illinois. FSTrees adds one other daughter, Sarah F Myers (1851-dec'd) but I've found no real evidence for her. However Nancy's obit does say she and Daniel had seven children and I've only got six so it's certainly plausible.1,4,5,2 |
Census1850* | Nancy and David appeared on the 1850 Federal Census Effingham Co., Illinois, enumerated 26 August 1850, as 32 yo farmer David & 21 yo Nancy Myers. Their son James was listed as living with them, as well as 60 yo Francis White, possibly Nancy's mother. Their firstborn 'son' is missing as is 2nd-born Rebecca. Other researchers have concluded from this that both 'son' and Rebecca died before the 1850 census, yet I find Rebecca is an heir in her father's will of 1877. That fact begs the question is 'son' the Daniel Myers, otherwise unidentified, who is listed first in his father's will. If so, where were 'son' and Rebecca in this census?6 |
Census1860 | Nancy and David appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of T6 R6E, Effingham Co., Illinois, enumerated 13 July 1860, as 41 yo David & 30 yo Nancy Myers. Their children Rebecca Ann, James, Elizabeth Frances, Thomas White and Sarah Jane were listed as living with them.7 |
Census1870 | Nancy and David appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of East Nelson, Moultrie Co., Illinois, enumerated 18 July 1870, as 54 yo farmer David & 35 yo Nancy Myers. Their children Elizabeth Frances, Thomas White, Sarah Jane, David A. and George White were listed as living with them.8 |
Estate-Will | Nancy was named an heir in the will of David A. Myers, her husband, dated 28 July 1877 at Moultrie Co., Illinois, the balance of the esstate after specific bequests.9 |
Census1880 | Nancy and David appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of East Nelson Twp., Moultrie Co., Illinois, enumerated 9 June 1880, as 65 yo farmer David & 63 yo wife Nancy Myers. Their children David A. and George White were listed as living with them.10 |
Census1900 | Nancy appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Garfield Twp., Custer Co., Nebraska, as 70 yo widowed mother Nancy Myers in the household of George White Myers and Carrie L. Bradburn; as 38 yo farmer George & 28 yo wife Carrie Meyers.3 |
Census1910 | Nancy appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Broken Bow, Custer Co., Nebraska, as 81 yo widowed mother Nancy Myers in the household of George White Myers and Carrie L. Bradburn; as 47 yo ice driver George W & 38 yo wife Carrie L Myers.11 |
Death* | Nancy died on 25 February 1913 at the home of her son D A Myers in 5 miles west of Blackwell, Kay Co., Oklahoma, at age 85. Obit says age 86 but she's within a month. It's got her birthdate as 16 January. Her body was taken to Broken Bow for burial.12,2 |
Burial* | She was buried at Broken Bow Cemetery in Broken Bow, Custer Co., Nebraska. Joint headstone photo w/ daughter Elizabeth Lilly is available at Find A Grave.2 |

Fnu Myers1
M, #9844, b. between 1835 and 1840
Birth* | Fnu, son of David A. Myers and Nancy Potts, was born between 1835 and 1840. Might this son be the Daniel Myers listed first in his father's will? He's missing in the 1850 and 1860 censuses. David has a brother named Daniel Wilson Myers who was alive when David's will was written so it might be him who was the heir. But every other heirin the will, excepting only his wife and Rebecca Ann, was a son or daughter.1 |
Census1840 | Fnu is probably the male under age 5 listed in the household of his father, David A. Myers, in the 1840 Federal Census of Allen Co., Kentucky.1 |
Death* | Fnu died. FSTrees (David A Myers (1815-1881), ID no. KJ4W-BXC) claims 1850 w/o citation. |

Rebecca Ann Myers1
F, #9845, b. 1843, d. after 1886
Birth* | Rebecca, daughter of David A. Myers and Nancy Potts, was born in 1843 in Illinois. FSTrees (David A Myers (1815-1881), ID no. KJ4W-BXC) says Rebecca died before 1850 based on the fact she's missing in her parents' enumeration that year and she'd have only been 7 yo. But her father's will of 1877 lists Rebecca Ann Myers as his 2nd heir. Admittedly David had a sister of the same name and it might have been her, but everyone else in the will save wife Nancy and a currently unknown Daniel are his children.2,1 |
Census1860 | Rebecca appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of T6 R6E, Effingham Co., Illinois in the household of her parents, David A. Myers and Nancy White, as 17 yo Rebecca A Myers.2 |
Estate-Will | Rebecca was named an heir in the will of David A. Myers, her father, dated 28 July 1877 at Moultrie Co., Illinois, receiving $5.3 |
Death* | Rebecca died after 1886. FSTrees (David A Myers (1815-1881), ID no. KJ4W-BXC) claims before 1850 but primary evidence suggests otherwise.1 |

James Myers1
M, #9846, b. between 1843 and 1844
Birth* | James, son of David A. Myers and Nancy Potts, was born between 1843 and 1844 in Illinois. FSTrees (David A Myers (1815-1881), ID no. KJ4W-BXC) calls him James William, without citation. His father's will only calls him James.2 |
Census1850 | James appeared on the 1850 Federal Census Effingham Co., Illinois in the household of his parents, David A. Myers and Nancy White, as 6 yo James Myers.2 |

Elizabeth Frances Myers1
F, #9847, b. between 1849 and 1850, d. 1894
Birth* | Elizabeth, daughter of David A. Myers and Nancy White, was born between 1849 and 1850 in Illinois. Might the name Sarah figure into hers somehow? She's Sarah F Myers in the 1870 census, but Elizabeth F in the 1860.3,4 |
Census1860 | Elizabeth appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of T6 R6E, Effingham Co., Illinois in the household of her parents, David A. Myers and Nancy White, as 9 yo Elizabeth F Myers.5 |
Census1870 | Elizabeth appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of East Nelson, Moultrie Co., Illinois in the household of her parents, David A. Myers and Nancy White, as 19 yo Sarah F Myers.3 |
Marriage* | She married Daniel Linville Perkins Lilly before 1875, date based on birthyear of eldest child listed by FSTrees.1,6,7,8,4 |
Estate-Will | Elizabeth was named an heir in the will of David A. Myers, her father, dated 28 July 1877 at Moultrie Co., Illinois.9 |
Census1880* | Elizabeth and Daniel appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of East Nelson Twp., Moultrie Co., Illinois, enumerated 8 June 1880, as 32 yo farmer Linville P & 29 yo wife Francis Lilly. Thomas White Myers1
M, #9848, b. 9 September 1853, d. 28 June 1932
Birth* | Thomas, son of David A. Myers and Nancy White, was born on 9 September 1853 in Illinois. Ancestry claims he was born in Matoon, Coles, IL but none of the five sources cited say this.3,2 |
Census1860 | Thomas appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of T6 R6E, Effingham Co., Illinois in the household of his parents, David A. Myers and Nancy White, as 7 yo Thomas Myers.3 |
Census1870 | Thomas appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of East Nelson, Moultrie Co., Illinois in the household of his parents, David A. Myers and Nancy White, as 16 yo Thomas Myers.4 |
Marriage* | His first marriage was to Rose Ann "Rosanna" Smith on 14 June 1874 at Moultrie Co., Illinois. There are two IL Marriages records. One shows only Tom's name, the other both of their names. Find A Grave's year is 1875. Moultrie County seems plausible as their son Charles was born there in 1881. The 1900 & 1910 censuses confirm marriage year with 2 born and 1 living.5,1,2 |
Estate-Will | Thomas was named an heir in the will of David A. Myers, his father, dated 28 July 1877 at Moultrie Co., Illinois.6 |
Census1880* | Thomas and Rose appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Milam, Macon Co., Illinois, enumerated 4 June 1880, as 27 yo farmer Thomas W & 29 yo wife Rosan Myres. Rosanna's brother 21 yo James E Smith was listed as living with them. He matches well with Rosanna's Find A Grave memorial which shows a brother James F Smith, born 1859.7 |
Estate-Probate* | Thomas White Myers were the administrators of David A. Myers's estate at Moultrie Co., Illinois, in August 1881.8 |
Census1900 | Thomas and Rose appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Garfield Twp., Custer Co., Nebraska, enumerated 6 July 1900, as 46 yo farmer Thomas W & 47 yo wife Rose A Meyers. Their son Charles D. was listed as living with them. Tom's brother George and his family live next door above.9 |
Census1910 | Thomas and Rose appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Broken Bow, Custer Co., Nebraska, enumerated 3 May 1910, as 59 yo ice wagon driver Thomas W & 61 yo wife Rosella Myers. Tom's brother George is on the same page as family 318.10 |
Census1920 | Thomas and Rose appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Broken Bow, Custer Co., Nebraska, enumerated 20 January 1920, as 69 yo Thomas W & 69 yo wife Rose A Myers.11 |
Marriage* | Their second marriage was to Laura Etta Porter in 1922 at Broken Bow, Custer Co., Nebraska. Laura's m1 was Charles Walter Galpin. FSTrees shows three children by that marriage, Ruth Gertrude, Vera May and Frederick Arthur Galpin.2,12 |
Census1930* | Thomas and Laura appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Broken Bow, Custer Co., Nebraska, enumerated 11 April 1930, as 78 yo Thomas W & 62 yo wife Laura E Myers.13 |
Death* | Thomas died on 28 June 1932 at age 78.2 |

Vica Meri Myers1
F, #9857, b. 18 December 1892, d. 28 October 1900
Birth* | Vica, daughter of George White Myers and Carrie L. Bradburn, was born on 18 December 1892 in Nebraska. Date based on headstone showing death at 7y 10m 10d. Find A Grave says 1893 in Schuyler Co, MO, wrong on both counts.2,3 |
Census1900 | Vica appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Garfield Twp., Custer Co., Nebraska in the household of her parents, George White Myers and Carrie L. Bradburn, as 7 yo daughter Vica Myers.2 |
Death* | Vica died on 28 October 1900 in Schuyler Co., Missouri, at age 7. Take the location with a grain of salt. The birth side of Vica's Find A Grave memorial is so wrong that everything else is suspect.3 |
Burial* | She was buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Coatsville, Schuyler Co., Missouri. Headstone photo is available at Find A Grave.3 |
ResearchNote* | Research Note of 29 May 2020 re Find A Grave. Vica's Find A Grave memorial is a conundrum. She's living with her parents in July 1900 in Custer County yet we're to believe she died and was buried in Schuyler Co., Missouri in October of the same year. If the parents still lived in Custer in October then why didn't they bring the body back to Nebraska for burial? Did the family move to Missouri between July and October 1900 but move back to Custer County in time for the 1910 census? On the other hand Vica is a very unusual name so the gravestone is likely this person.3 |

Henry Wilson Lilly1,2
M, #9863, b. 8 July 1882, d. 16 June 1962
Birth* | Henry, son of Daniel Linville Perkins Lilly and Elizabeth Frances Myers, was born on 8 July 1882 in East Nelson Twp., Moultrie Co., Illinois.5 |
CensusNF1 | Henry appeared on the 1885 Nebraska State Census of Douglas Grove Twp., Custer Co., Nebraska, in the household of his parents, Daniel Linville Perkins Lilly and Elizabeth Frances Myers, as 3 yo son Henry W Lilly.4 |
Census1900 | Henry appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Muddy Twp., Richardson Co., Nebraska in the household of his father, Daniel Linville Perkins Lilly, as 17 yo son Henry W Lilly.6 |
Occupation* | Henry was a barber in 1907 at Charleston, Coles Co., Illinois. Wilson is still a barber in Detroit in the 1920 & 1930 censuses.7,8 |
Marriage* | His first marriage was to Isabella Robertson Briggs on 22 May 1907 at Charleston, Coles Co., Illinois. My preliminary research suggests their children were Charles Andrew Lilly (1908-1974) and Mary Elizabeth Lilly (c1913- ). The IL County Marriages record is very poorly indexed. It gives Henry's name as Nelson but it's pretty clearly Wilson in the original. It shows his mother's name as Elizabeth Fingers but it's clearly Elizabeth F Myers. The 1910 census confirms married 2 years with 1 born and 1 living. In 1918 Isabella married William Cleveland Bandy.7,1,9 |
Census1910* | Henry and Isabella appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Monte Vista, Rio Grande Co., Colorado, enumerated circa 9 May 1910, as 27 yo barber Wilson & 21 yo wife Isabella Lilly. Their 1 yo son Charles A Lilly was listed as living with them.10 |
Marriage* | His second marriage was to Maud M. Lnu between 1911 and 1930. The 1930 census says age at first marriage was 26 yo for each of them. That matches well with Wilson's m1 to Isabella Briggs. Conclusion is that this is at least Maud's m2 also.8 |
Census1920* | Henry and Maud appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan, enumerated 23 January 1920, as 37 yo barber Wilson & 36 yo wife Maude Lilly.11 |
Census1930* | Henry appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan, enumerated 7 April 1930, as 46 yo barber Wilson & 46 yo wife Maud M Lilly.8 |
Death* | Henry died on 16 June 1962 at a Tampa hospital in Tampa, Hillsborough Co., Florida, at age 79. In his obit are mentioned surviving wife Anna E, sister Mrs. R H Slagle and brother Earl M Lilly.2 |

Earl M. Lilly1
M, #9865, b. 20 May 1890, d. 23 July 1980
Birth* | Earl, son of Daniel Linville Perkins Lilly and Elizabeth Frances Myers, was born on 20 May 1890 in Broken Bow, Custer Co., Nebraska.3,4,2,5 |

Marriage* | He married Blanche Irene Hill before 5 June 1917. My preliminary research suggests their children were Robert Earl Lilly (1917-1994, m. Eva V Arnold 1941, of Tulsa 1973-1980), Gordon Leroy Lilly (1922-1992, m. Mariam L Williamson, of Fort Worth 1973-1980) and Laverne Irene Lilly (1924-b1994, m. Wesley T Collins 1945, of Spokane 1973-1980).7,8,4,5,9 |
Census1920* | Earl and Blanche appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Liberty Pct., Richardson Co., Nebraska, enumerated 7 January 1920, as 29 yo farmer Earl M & 29 yo wife Blanche H Lilly. Their 2 yo son Cecil E Lilly was listed as living with them. How they get Cecil out of Robert is beyond me. Perhaps he has three given names, e.g. Cecil Robert Earl Lilly. He's 12 yo in the following census so there's no way this 'Cecil' isn't Robert. Earl owns his own farm and is not renting.10 |
Census1930 | Earl and Blanche appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Liberty Pct., Richardson Co., Nebraska, enumerated 4 April 1930, as 39 yo poultry farmer Earl M & 40 yo wife Blanche H Lilley.
