Francis Hyatt II1
M, #5020, b. before 1800, d. before 7 April 1826
Birth* | Francis, son of Francis Hyatt and Ann King, was born before 1800.1 |
Marr-Bond | Francis Hyatt II and Ann Witsell posted a marriage bond on 30 January 1822 at New Castle Co., Delaware. Cope has their bond listed in the 1821 section but the reproduction of the actual paperwork in DE Marriage Records is more compelling with 30 Jan 1822.2,3 |
Marriage* | He married Ann Witsell on 13 February 1822 in New Jersey. King writes that Ann and Francis "apparently married 31 Jan 1822", which would make sense with the 30 Jan bond from Cope. However there's also a NJ Marriage Records entry for a Francis Hyatt and Ann Witsell showing the marriage 13 Feb 1822 in New Jersey. That's the date and location I'm using. They had a son Francis A. Hyatt who m. Serena Jane Rose and had issue Albert A, Frances W and Howard H Hyatt. Censuses are readily available in New Castle Co. for 1850, 70 and 80.4,1 |
Death* | Francis died before 7 April 1826, when a newspaper ad by his wife Ann requested all persons owing money to the late Francis Hyatt please pay her.1 |
