Birth*Martha was born on 16 March 1852 in Indiana, d/o Clarence N Taylor & Amelia Black. FSTrees (Shadrach Hathaway Dennis (1834-1883), ID no. LH29-QSW) claims d/o William Smith Taylor & Amelia Black w/o citation.2,1

Their children, based on FSTrees and the census records, were Flora V, M Alice, Perry W and Nettie Alvira Dennis. However the 1900 census shows 5 born with 5 living. It's possible a child was born after the 1880 census and had moved out of the house before the 1900 census.2,1
Census1900*Martha appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Dickson, Benton Co., Arkansas, enumerated 9 June 1900, as 48 yo widowed farmer Martha Dennis. Her children 30 yo Flora V and 25 yo Perry W Dennis were listed as living with her.3

Birth*George was born in 1846 in Indiana, s/o Isaac Norman Robbins & Lydia Johnson.2
Marriage*He married Roxana Dennis, daughter of Benjamin Dennis and Anna Downey, on 21 August 1869 in Switzerland Co., Indiana. License dated same day.
Their children as determined by census records and generally corroborated by FSTrees were Harry Addison, Clyde Wilson, Alice Clara, George Austin and Carl Alvin Robbins. FSTrees claims one other daughter, Sophia Blanche Robbins, but the sources are sketchy at best and she's not found in the census where she'd have been only 1 yo (if FSTrees's birthyear is to be believed).1,3
Census1870*George and Roxana appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Pike Twp., Ohio Co., Indiana, enumerated 30 June 1870, as 24 yo farmer George & 16 yo housekeeper Roxanna Robbins. George's parents Isaac & Lydia live next door above.4
Census1880George and Roxana appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Cotton Twp., Switzerland Co., Indiana, enumerated 8 June 1880, as 34 yo farmer George & 26 yo housekeeper Rociana Robbins. Their children 9 yo Harry A, 8 yo female Clida W, 4 yo Allice C and 0.2 yo George A Robbins were listed as living with them, as well as George's 76 yo physician father Isaac Robbins.5
Death*George died on 10 April 1909 in Indiana.2
Burial*He was buried at Olive Branch Cemetery in Bear Branch, Ohio Co., Indiana. Joint headstone photo w/ wife Roxanna and son Austin is available at Find A Grave.2

ResearchNote*Research Note of 18 March 2020 re FSTrees. Roseanna Edith Pitman, ID no. LZ24-3HW, claims without citation that Roseanna and her m1 Benjamin Dennis had one daughter, Nellie Hazel Dennis. Nellie married David Bliss ca. 1904 and had one daughter, Mildred Bliss.

Last Edited23 Sep 2022
Birth*John was born on 1 March 1838 in Hanover, Saxony, now Germany.2,3
Marriage*He married Eliza Bailey, daughter of Lorenzo Dow "LD" Bailey and Malinda Downey, on 1 August 1861 in Ohio Co., Indiana. The 1900 census claims John and Eliza Cutter had no children. They show a 15 year old boy named Andrew Cutter living with them in Cass township in the 1870 census. FSTrees calls him Anderson D Cutter and claims he is their child. John and Eliza were married in 1861 but Andrew/Anderson was 15 yo in 1870 so it's fairly certain he is not their child by birth. Yet Anderson D Cutter lists John and Eliza as his parents on his marriage record. Exactly how he is related is currently unknown. Perhaps he was adopted.4,5,1
Census1870*John and Eliza appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Cass Twp., Ohio Co., Indiana, enumerated 19 July 1870, as 37 yo farmer John & 35 yo housekeeper Eliza Cutter. Andrew Cutter, 15 yo, was listed as living with them.3
Census1880John and Eliza appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Cass Twp., Ohio Co., Indiana, enumerated 11 June 1880, as 42 yo farmer John & 40 yo wife Eliza Cutter. Others in the household include 14 yo nephew Andrew Bailey, 4 yo niece Ida M Bailey and 2 yo nephew Lucien Bailey, relationship currently unknown.6
Census1900John and Eliza appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Cass Twp., Ohio Co., Indiana, enumerated 3 June 1900, as 62 yo farmer John & 60 yo wife Louisa Cutter. Nephew Lucien Bailey, 21 yo, is still living with them.7
Death*John died on 13 February 1908 at age 69.2
Burial*He was buried at Cedar Hedge Cemetery in Rising Sun, Ohio Co., Indiana. Joint headstone photo w/ wife Eliza Cutter is available at Find A Grave.2

Birth*Peter was born on 17 August 1846.3
Marriage*He married Phoebe Jane Bailey, daughter of Lorenzo Dow "LD" Bailey and Malinda Downey, on 4 November 1868 in Ohio Co., Indiana. The 1900 census shows James & Phoebe married 31 years with 14 born and 14 living. Twelve of the 14 are found with the parents in various censuses. Two were born shortly after 1880 and are out the parents' home by 1900.
Following are their 14 children: Jesse L (m. Inez Warner), Emma, Willis Madison (m1 Florence Willows, m2 Theresa Favoloro), Margaret, Samuel Walter, Eliza (m. William C Carter), Charles (m. Amelia Adams), Conley (m. Etta Pengelly), Andrew J, Peter Hickston (m. Mabel Moses), Rose, Thomas, Eugene Morton (m. Isabel Drazy) and Ellen Bradley.
Andrew and Peter are found in the 1900 census in Brenton, Ford, IL, both as servants, 19 & 17 yo respectively. Andrew in the home of Jacob Ehresman and Peter in the home of Frank Stadler. Their ages and birthstates are correct.
One oddity - in the 1870 there's a 1 yo female 'Baby'. In 1880 there's a 10 yo male Jesse. Are they both Jesse? If not then Phoebe had 15 children with 14 living in 1900. I believe they are one and the same and gender was incorrect in the 1870.
FSTrees claims a couple other children but they don't stand up to any scrutiny.2,4,5
Census1870*Peter and Phoebe appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Cass Twp., Ohio Co., Indiana, enumerated 16 July 1870, as 30 yo farmer Peter & 28 yo housekeeper Phoebe Bradley. Their 1 yo daughter 'Baby' was listed as living with them.6
Census1880Peter and Phoebe appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Sparta Twp., Dearborn Co., Indiana, enumerated 10 June 1880, as 33 yo farmer Peter & 33 yo wife Phoebe J Bradley. Their children 10 yo Jesse, 9 yo Emma, 8 yo Madison, 7 yo Margarett, 6 yo Samuel, 4 yo Eliza, 2 yo Charley and 0.3 yo Conley Bradley were listed as living with them.7
Census1900Peter and Phoebe appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Salt Creek Twp., Decatur Co., Indiana, enumerated 10 June 1900, as 52 yo day laborer Peter & 53 yo wife Phoeba J Beadly. Their children 15 yo Rose, 13 yo Thomas, 12 yo Eugene and 7 yo Ellen Beadley were listed as living with them.5
Death*Peter died on 18 January 1904 in Indiana at age 57.3
