Milit-Service*	Thomas Nathan Hickman served as a Private with Company E, 17th regiment OVI during the Civil War enlisting 27 April 1861. He later served in Co. E, 1st Battalion, 18th regiment U.S. Infantry. He lost his right arm at the battle of Stone River, Tennessee, January 1st, 1863.5,6,2

Louisa is a married wife acting as head of household, though not enumerated as such, in the 1880 census. Nathan has not been found. In the 1900 census Nathan is living with daughter Cora and her family but still showing married, not widowed.5,2

BioNote*	Biography Note: From his bio in his Find A Grave memorial: SAMUEL ALLEN6 COE (Abraham5, William4, John3, Richard2, Richard1 ) was born September 26, 1846, in Morrow County, OH. He spent his boyhood near where he was born, then about 1870 he went to Johnson County, KS, where he bought and improved some land and operated it threshing machine. In 1873 he returned to Ohio, settling near Gilead Station, where he purchased 15 1/2 acres from A.R. Runyan, April 3. There he formed a partnership with a Mr. Johnson, a Mr. Collins and a Mr. Wentsels, opening a lumber business in Gilead Station. After eighteen months he left the partnership and, along with an associate, opened a grocery at Mt. Gilead known as the "Bowen & Coe Grocery." After three years he returned to Gilead Station where he opened a hardware business under the name "Coe Bros. & Company." He lived at Edison, OH, during his last years.7
