Sylvia Fry1
F, #5303
Marriage* | She married Halwin H. Hickman, son of Thomas Nathan Hickman and Jane S. "Jennie" Mosher, on 13 August 1892 in Morrow Co., Ohio. Other issue per the 1900 census include Robert H., Carrie E., and Waneta S. Hickman. Note two other entries for same or similar names in the Ohio Marriages 1800-1958 database, both dated 1880 in Morrow County: Halwin H. Heckman & Sylvia Fry, and Healwin H. Hickman & Sylvia Fry. Birth* | John, son of Isaac G. Speck and Matilda Ann Hiskett, was born in July 1854 in West Chester, Tuscarawas Co., Ohio. Find A Grave's date of July 1856 doesn't work well with the 1860 census in which he's 6 yo and sister Sarah is 4 yo.2,3 |

F, #5305, b. 8 August 1810, d. 30 January 1892
Birth* | Emily was born on 8 August 1810 in Loudoun Co., Virginia.3,1 |
Marriage* | She married Norval Valentine Hiskett between 1844 and 1850. Date assumes after death of Norval's 1st wife in 1844 and certainly before they're listed together in the 1850 census. I find no record for this marriage in the Ohio marriage databases in FamilySearch.2,1 |
Census1850* | Emily and Norval appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Cardington Twp., Morrow Co., Ohio, enumerated 30 July 1850, as 45 yo farmer Norvel 39 yo Emily Heskett. Their children George William, Nathan Nickols and Matilda Ann were listed as living with them.1 |

Marriage* | She married Nathan Nickols Hiskett, son of Norval Valentine Hiskett and Massey Nickols, on 5 November 1858 in Morrow Co., Ohio. My guess is that Nathan and Louisa separated sometime between 1870 and 1880. Louisa is a married wife acting as head of household, though not enumerated as such, in the 1880 census. Nathan has not been found. In the 1900 census Nathan is living with daughter Cora and her family but still showing married, not widowed.2,4 |
Census1860* | Louisa and Nathan appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Gilead Twp., Morrow Co., Ohio, enumerated 7 June 1860, as 27 yo school teacher N N & 19 yo T C Hiskett.5 |

Her children Cora E., Frank, William "Bill" and Adelbert were listed as living with her. Louisa's husband Nathan is missing. She is listed as wife, not head of household.6 |
Death* | Louisa died on 28 November 1911 in Mt. Gilead Twp., Morrow Co., Ohio, at age 70.3 |
Burial* | She was buried at River Cliff Cemetery in Mt. Gilead, Morrow Co., Ohio. Find A Grave provides an obit but no photo of her headstone.3 |
