Last Edited26 Apr 2024
Birth*Emma, daughter of William W. Andereck and Sarah Elizabeth Everly, was born on 21 November 1864 in Indiana.1,4,2
Census1870Emma appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Harrison Twp., Kosciusko Co., Indiana in the household of her parents, William W. Andereck, as 6 yo Emma Andrick.2
Census1880Emma appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Harrison Twp., Kosciusko Co., Indiana in the household of her father, William W. Andereck, as 16 yo daughter Emma Andrick.5
Marriage*Her first marriage was to Hiram Wiley on 25 March 1883 at Kosciusko Co., Indiana. License apparently dated 24 March. One child claimed by Ancestry's Smith-Warner tree is Respa D Wiley (1884-1887). I've found no corroborating evidence.6,7
Marriage*Her second marriage was to Jasper Hatfield between 1899 and 1900. Date based on married 0 years with 0 born & 0 living in the June 1900 census. The 1910 census notes this as 2nd marriage for both parties.
Find A Grave claims two wives for Jasper: Susan L (unk-1898) and Mattie Fawley (1875-1943), but does not link to Emma. Mattie is plausible as there's a 1940 census entry in Warsaw for 68 yo Jasper & Mattie Hatfield.8,9,10
Census1900Emma appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Harrison Twp., Kosciusko Co., Indiana in the household of her father, William W. Andereck, as 36 yo married daughter Emma Hatfield.8

Death*Emma died on 3 January 1929 in Warsaw, Kosciusko Co., Indiana, at age 64, of influenza.1,4

Minor Irvin Andereck1

M, #10943, b. 17 January 1868, d. 28 May 1940
FatherIrvin Minor Andereck2,1 b. 30 Aug 1845, d. 5 Oct 1878
MotherAmanda Maria "Mandy" Baughman2,1 b. 5 Oct 1847, d. 20 Oct 1913
Last Edited11 Mar 2024
Birth*Minor, son of Irvin Minor Andereck and Amanda Maria "Mandy" Baughman, was born on 17 January 1868 in Palestine, Kosciusko Co., Indiana. Order of his first and middle name is questionable. Nowhere is he called Junior, so Minor Irvin has a certain logic. You'll find sources both ways. Find A Grave says Irvin Minor but his headstone says only Irvin.3,4
Census1870Minor appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Harrison Twp., Kosciusko Co., Indiana in the household of his parents, Irvin Minor Andereck and Amanda Maria "Mandy" Baughman, as 2 yo Henry I Andrick.5
Census1880Minor appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Harrison Twp., Kosciusko Co., Indiana in the household of her mother, Amanda Maria "Mandy" Baughman, as 13 yo son Ervin Andrick.6
Marriage*He married Nettie Susan Lee on 24 December 1891 in Indiana. My preliminary research suggests their children were Edward M Andereck (1893-1976, m. Iva P McKrill 1929, informant on his father's death certificate), and Mamie Mae Andereck (1896-1967, m. Melvin Raymond Goshert).7,4
CensusLead*The 1900 census listed a 34 yo railroad laborer Ervin (and 33 yo wife Hattie) Andrick, who may be this person, as head of household at 321 W. Centre St., Warsaw, Kosciusko Co., Indiana. Ervin & Hattie's children 5 yo Elmer and 3 yo Ruth Andrick were listed as living with them, as well as one boarder. The children's names and everyone's birthdates are a mess, ages are off a bit, but Irvin's job with the railroad matches 1910, they're in the same city as 1910, and they have two kids of correct genders and relative ages.8
Census1910*Minor and Nettie appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Warsaw, Kosciusko Co., Indiana, at 215 S. Washington St., enumerated 18 April 1910, as 42 yo railroad signalman Irvin & 38 yo wife Nettie Andereck. Their children 17 yo Edward M and 13 yo May Andereck were listed as living with them.9
Census1920*Minor and Nettie appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Warsaw, Kosciusko Co., Indiana, at 403 Market St., enumerated circa 3 January 1920, as 51 yo railroad mechanic Miner E & 48 yo wife Nettie Andrick. Their 23 yo daughter May Andrick was listed as living with them, as well as one roomer.10
Census1930Minor and Nettie appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Warsaw, Kosciusko Co., Indiana, at 403 E. Market St., enumerated 12 April 1930, as 62 yo steam railway signalman M Irvin & 58 yo wife Nettie Andereck.11
Census1940Minor and Nettie appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Warsaw, Kosciusko Co., Indiana, at 403 Market St., enumerated 3 April 1940, as 71 yo Minor & 68 yo wife Nettie Andereck.12
Death*Minor died on 28 May 1940 in Warsaw, Kosciusko Co., Indiana, at age 72, of cerebral hemorrhage.13,4
Burial*He was buried on 31 May 1940 at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw, Kosciusko Co., Indiana. Find A Grave provides joint headstone photo with wife Mattie.13,4
