His wife Hester is likely the 20-29 yo female.      There's another David Read in Christiana Hundred listed as 010000101-210001, perhaps this David's father or other relative.2

My preliminary research suggests their children were Homer Crane (1882-1946, m. Martha Bradford Link 1908 Philadelphia), Sgt Edgar Ryland (1885-1964, m. Ada May Daniels 1920 Wilmington), Virginia Vandegrift (1887-1970, m. Fnu Parton), Paul Price (1889-1938, m. Myrtle May Gill), Alida Miller (1892- , m. Charles Hartman Blass 1914 Philadelphia) and Norman Irving Painter (1894-1956, m. Alice Finlayson 1922 in PA).2
Census1900*	Martin and Virginia appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Wilmington Ward 6, New Castle Co., Delaware, enumerated 2 June 1900, as 47 yo harness maker Martin E & 48 yo wife Virginia Painter. Their children 18 yo furniture clerk Homer C, 14 yo errand boy Edgar R, 12 yo Virginia V, 10 yo Paul P, 7 yo Alida M and 6 yo Norman J Painter were listed as living with them.3
Census1910	Martin and Virginia appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Philadelphia Ward 47, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania, enumerated 19 April 1910, as 56 yo harness maker Martin E & 58 yo wife Virginia Painter. Their children 25 yo Edgar, 22 yo Virginia, 20 yo Paul, 18 yo Alida and 16 yo Norman were listed as living with them.4
Census1920*	Martin appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Noreg Village (now Brooklawn Borough), Camden Co., New Jersey, as 61 yo widower father-in-law Martin E Painter in the household of his son-in-law and daughter Charles H & Alida Blass.5
Death*	Martin died on 19 May 1925 in Delaware City, New Castle Co., Delaware, at age 72.1

Birth*	Jennie was born in July 1853 in Maryland. This date doesn't quite work with claimed age of 44 yo in Jun 1900 census.2
Marr-Bond	Jennie Holiday and Clarence Price posted a marriage bond on 9 August 1880 at Delaware.1
Marriage*	She married Clarence Price, son of Thomas Cleaver Price and Martha Jane Pennington, on 12 August 1880 in Kent Co., Delaware. My preliminary research suggests their children were Carroll Oddie (1883-1952, m. Maggie Poore), Mary Helen (1885-1938, m. Thomas Phillips) and Ruth Rebecca Price (1887-1959, m. Martin Bowman).3
Census1900*	Jennie and Clarence appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Millington, Kent Co., Maryland, enumerated 5 June 1900, as 45 yo cotton mill engineer Clarance & 44 yo wife Jennie Price. Their children 17 yo Carl, 15 yo Helen and 13 yo Ruth Price were listed as living with them.2
Census1910*	Jennie appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Massey Pct. 1, Kent Co., Maryland, enumerated 15 April 1910, as 53 yo widowed boarding house keeper Jennie Price. Her children 27 yo Carroll Price and 22 yo Ruth Bowman were listed as living with her, as well as Ruth's husband 22 yo Martin Bowman and two boarders.4
Census1920	Jennie appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Masseys Pct. 1, Kent Co., Maryland, enumerated 29 January 1920, as 65 yo widowed ice cream store employee Jennie Price. Her daughter 32 yo widow Ruth Bowman was listed as living with her, as well as Ruth's 7 yo son Paul D Bowman.5
Death*	Jennie died. The Cleaver-McKinney tree at Ancesty claims she died 12 Aug 1921 in Millington, MD without citation.

Birth*	Alrich, son of Leonard Atkey Pennington and Ann Elizabeth Eaton, was born on 11 October 1845 in Delaware. His first name generally spelled Alrich, but sometimes Aldrich. Middle name allegedly Ryland but I've seen no evidence in support.3,1
Census1850	Alrich appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of New Castle Hundred, New Castle Co., Delaware in the household of his parents, Leonard Atkey Pennington and Ann Elizabeth Eaton, as 4 yo Aldrich R Pennington.1
Census1860	Alrich appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of 1st Election Dist., Queen Anne's Co., Maryland in the household of his parents, Leonard Atkey Pennington and Ann Elizabeth Eaton, as 14 yo Alrich R Pennington.4
Census1870	Alrich appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Red Lion Hundred, New Castle Co., Delaware, as 24 yo farm laborer Alrich R Pennington in the household of his future parents-in-law Benjamin Pennington and Emily L. Jester; as 42 yo farmer Benjamin & 37 yo Emily Pennington.5
Marriage*	He married Carrie E. Pennington, daughter of Benjamin Pennington and Emily L. Jester, between 1873 and 1875. My preliminary research suggests their only child was Pearl Pennington (1879-1944).      Married 25 years with 3 born & 1 living in the 1900 census, 36 years with 3 born & 1 living in the 1910 census.6,7
Census1880*	Alrich and Carrie appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Chesapeake, Maryland, enumerated 4 June 1880, as 33 yo farmer Aldridge & 25 yo wife Carrie Pennington. Their 1 yo daughter Pearl Pennington was listed as living with them, as well as Aldridge's brother Marion, Marion's wife Anna and their son Sydney Pennington. Marion's relationship is not noted.8
Census1900	Alrich and Carrie appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of West Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts, enumerated 15 June 1900, as 54 yo cutter for a rubber manufacturer Aldredge & 45 yo wife Carrie E Pennington. Their 21 yo daughter Pearl Pennington was listed as living with them, as well as one boarder and one servant.9
Census1910	Alrich and Carrie appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Whitman, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts, enumerated 15 April 1910, as 64 yo sporting goods cloth cutterAldrich & 55 yo wife Carrie E Pennington. Their 31 yo daughter Pearl Pennington was listed as living with them, as well as one servant.6
Death*	Alrich died on 8 November 1913 in Whitman, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts, at age 68, of cerebral hemorrhage.10,3
