Birth*	Silence was born circa 1717. Hibner writes, "Chandler, in his History of Shirley, gives her name as Silence Thwing. I believe this to be an error probably arising from the fact that two of William's sisters married the Thwing brothers, Thomas and Edward".1
Marriage*	She married William Bartlett, son of John Bartlett and Patience Lnu, on 23 December 1740 in Boston, Suffolk Co., Province of Massachusetts Bay, New England. Hibner writes, "The children of William and Silence appear in the Shirley Vital Records with the statement that they were born in Cambridge, Mass., but they are not found in the Cambridge records. William Bartlett and his brothers, Nicholas and Caleb, owned adjoining farms in Shirley, Mass.".1
Death*	Silence died on 15 October 1810.1
