Amanda "Jennie" Durrell1,2

F, #1154, b. circa 1834
Last Edited21 Sep 2022
Birth*Amanda was born circa 1834 in New Jersey.2
Marriage*She married Rev. Benjamin T. String between 1856 and 1857, date inferred from their 3 yo daughter Mary in the 1860 census. This marriage is a bit of a long shot but Ben's name is perfect, his daughter Mary is spot on (based on later censuses) though the age is a bit off. His occupation in the 1860 of M.E. minister clinched it for me.2
Census1860*Amanda and Benjamin appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Sadsbury Twp., Chester Co., Pennsylvania, enumerated 9 June 1860, as 25 yo M. E. preacher Benj T & 26 yo Amanda String. Their daughter Mary Eliza was listed as living with them.2
