Birth*	Joseph, son of Phillip Pritchett, was born in 1775 in North Carolina Colony, New England. If Gibson is correct that Benjamin was Joseph's father and Benjamin died in 1796 then Joseph must have been born in or before 1797. The marriage year of 1806 implies birthyear of ca. 1788 or earlier. Gibson claims Georgia, not North Carolina.2
Marriage*	He married Sarah "Sally" Griggs, daughter of Rhodom Griggs and Mildred Milley Bagley, on 30 April 1806 in Hancock Co., Georgia. Ancestry's Pritchett Family Tree claims Sarah m2 to James Thornton. Since she was only 16 when she married Pritchett it seems likely this marriage was after his death in 1818. I find no substantiating record.3,2
