ResearchNote*	Research Note of 2 July 2020 re 1910 census. I find a 50 yo farmer Elonzo P Hinton, b. KY, in Hansen, Twin Falls Co., Idaho in the 1910 census, with 28 yo wife Laura E Riherd. They've been married 7 years. Laura's sister 24 yo Eliza Riherd is living with them. I suspect this is our Elonzo but have found no corroborating evidence.5

Marriage*	He married Minnie Missouri Myers, daughter of Henry Washington Myers and Mary Emmeline "Polly" Newman, between 1899 and 1900. Married zero years w/ zero & zero in the 1900 census. Again in 1910 it's zero born & zero living. FSTrees (Spencer Sherman Binnion, ID no. 9C36-Y1H) claims without citation that Spencer m2 Edna Earl Demaree in 1930. The 1948 Oklahoma City directory does show him with wife Edna E, so this may well be true.2,3

Immigration*	Edward immigrated to the United States in 1865, presumably from England.1
Marriage*	He married Ellen Cordelia Myers, daughter of Daniel Myers and Cordelia Bennett, in 1874 in Illinois. Married 25 years with 2 born and 2 living in the 1900 census! It should be 3 and 3. The 1910 census shows Edward with two marriages, Ellen with one, and 4 born with 2 living. Eddie had died by 1910 so the 2 living makes sense.1,3,4
Occupation*	Edward was an engineer for the MKT (Missouri-Kansas-Texas) Railroad, aka the Katy. His obit says he was a railroad man for 40 years, beginning in 1875. Those numbers don't quite add up between 1875 and 1910.5
Census1880*	Edward and Ellen appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Sedalia, Pettis Co., Missouri, enumerated 1 June 1880, as 30 yo railroad engineer Edward & 26 yo wife Ellie Smith. Their children Edward "Eddie", Ella Bell and George W. were listed as living with them. There is also an 11 yo son, Chas, born Illinois, enumerated with the family. His age suggests he is from a prior marriage.6
Census1900	Edward and Ellen appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Denison, Grayson Co., Texas, enumerated 8 June 1900, as 52 yo locomotive engineeer Ed & 46 yo wife Ellen Smith. Their children Ella Bell and George W. were listed as living with them. Daughter Ella is enumerated twice - here and with her husband Elijah and two children. George should be 21, not 29. This enumeration is all messed up.3
Census1910	Edward and Ellen appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Denison, Grayson Co., Texas, enumerated 16 April 1910, as 62 yo railroad conductor Edward & 54 yo wife Ellen Smith. Their son George W. was listed as living with them.4
Death*	Edward died on 9 July 1911 at his home 214 E. Munson in Denison, Grayson Co., Texas, at age 63, of kidney disease.5
