Did he do shoe repair for the railroad or had he changed professions since the 1940 census? Another strange thing is he lists his mother, Mrs. H A Schulke [sic], as the person who will always know his address, rather than his wife Louise.11
Residence*	Earl and Louise resided at 806 W. Gandy in Denison, Grayson Co., Texas, in 1953. Earl is still working for the railroad as a shopman.12
Death*	Earl died on 12 November 1973 in Denison, Grayson Co., Texas, at age 70.13,3
