In the 1920 census it's written identically with her mother. In Addie's case it likely represents Jackson. I'm going with Etta J for now. Reference book The Handwriting of American Records For A Period of 300 Years shows that I and J were written essentially identically in the 1900s.2

The census says August 1885. Find A Grave claims 1887. Given that he was 14 yo in the 1900 census I'm sticking with the Aug 1885 date.1,2

Family*	George's family George had two wives, Virginia Viola Jackson and Julia A Fryer. I find no record of any children.2
Arrest*	Frank Wyatt and son Mitch Wyatt were convicted of murder. Received by State of Georgia 30 May 1919. They're listed on the 'Life Term Convicts' sheet though Frank was paroled 11 October 1938 and Mitch was paroled 26 July 1938.5

Birth*	John was born in September 1825 in Georgia. Find A Grave says 1824, the 1900 census says Sept 1825.2,3
Marriage*	His first marriage was to Jane Wyatt, daughter of Hardy Wyatt and Martha Lnu, on 18 October 1844 at Laurens Co., Georgia. Two marriage records with different interpretations of John's surname. It's Underwood if you know what you're looking for.1,4
Census1850*	John and Jane appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Dist. 49, Laurens Co., Georgia, enumerated 19 September 1850, as 25 yo farmer John & 23 yo Jane Underwood. Their children Daniel Richard, Sarah Elizabeth and James were listed as living with them.5
Census1860	John and Jane appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Johnson Co., Georgia, enumerated 11 July 1860, as 34 yo farmer John & 33 yo domestick Jane Underwood. Their children Daniel Richard, Sarah Elizabeth, Texas Ann "Texann", Jane Eugenia and Susan were listed as living with them.6
Milit-Service*	John T. Underwood served as a private with Co. F, 14th Georgia Infantry during the Civil War from 11 July 1861 to 27 January 1862. He got a disability discharge but no specific cause listed.7,8
Census1870	John and Jane appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Dist. 1202, Johnson Co., Georgia, enumerated 21 July 1870, as 45 yo farm laborer John & 45 yo house keeper Jane Underwood. Their children Texas Ann "Texann", Jane Eugenia, Susan, Johanin T. "John" and Arlena were listed as living with them.9
Census1880	John and Jane appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Wrightsville, Johnson Co., Georgia, enumerated 10 June 1880, as 56 yo farmer John T & ?6 yo wife Elizabeth J Underwood. Their children Johanin T. "John", Arlena and Frederick W. were listed as living with them.10
Marriage*	His second marriage was to Rebecca Laura Lnu on 17 August 1899. Married 1 year with 2 born & 2 living in the 1900 census. Only one child is listed (James L) so it's likely the other child was from a prior marriage of Rebecca's.11,3,2
Census1900*	John and Rebecca appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Spann Dist., Johnson Co., Georgia, enumerated 12 June 1900, as 74 yo farmer John & 42 yo wife Rebecca Underwood. Their son James Lester was listed as living with them.2
Death*	John died on 22 March 1909 at home of his son Fred Underwood in Appling Co., Georgia, at age 83. His application for a military headstone says date of death was 20 March.3,8
Burial*	He was buried at Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery in Baxley, Appling Co., Georgia. Headstone photo & transcript of obit are available at Find A Grave.3

Birth*	Rebecca was born in May 1858 in Georgia. Find A Grave claims 1860 though the included death certificate says 17 April 1864. The 1900 census shows May 1858. As it's the most contemporaneous record I'm going with that. Rebecca apparently m1 Fnu Hargrove as she's living as 'mother' with 35 yo Willie Hargrove in the 1920 census.3,4
Marriage*	She married John T. Underwood on 17 August 1899. Married 1 year with 2 born & 2 living in the 1900 census. Only one child is listed (James L) so it's likely the other child was from a prior marriage of Rebecca's.5,2,6
Census1900*	Rebecca and John appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Spann Dist., Johnson Co., Georgia, enumerated 12 June 1900, as 74 yo farmer John & 42 yo wife Rebecca Underwood. Their son James Lester was listed as living with them.6
Census1910*	Rebecca appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Kite Dist. 53, Johnson Co., Georgia, enumerated 28 April 1910, as 47 yo widowed farm laborer Rebecca Underwood. Her children James Lester and Joseph were listed as living with her, as well as her 70 yo widowed mother Laura (surname not shown).1
Census1920*	Rebecca and James appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Blue Springs, Pulaski Co., Georgia, as 64 yo widowed mother Rebecca Underwood & 19 yo brother Lester Underwood in the household of Rebecca's son from her m1 35 yo Willie Hargrove.4
Census1930	Rebecca appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Calhoun, Gordon Co., Georgia, as 67 yo widowed mother Rebecca Underwood in the household of Rev. James Lester Underwood Sr. and Lonie M. Gainous; as 30 yo Church of God minister James L & 26 yo wife Lonie Underwood.7
Census1940	Rebecca appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Bonne Terre, St. Francois Co., Missouri, as 78 yo widowed mother Rebecca Underwood in the household of Rev. James Lester Underwood Sr. and Lonie M. Gainous; as 40 yo clergyman James & 37 yo wife Lonia M Underwood.8
Death*	Rebecca died on 10 March 1951 in Dunlap, Sequatchie Co., Tennessee, at age 92, per death certificate included in her Find A Grave memorial.3
Burial*	She was buried at Rankin Cemetery in Dunlap, Sequatchie Co., Tennessee. Obit but no headstone photo at Find A Grave.3

Birth*	Daniel, son of John T. Underwood and Jane Wyatt, was born on 12 August 1845 in Wrightsville, Johnson Co., Georgia. The correct order of his first and middle names is unclear. His Confederate pension app gives his birthday as Aug 1844 in Wrightsville.1,3,2
Census1850	Daniel appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Dist. 49, Laurens Co., Georgia in the household of his parents, John T. Underwood and Jane Wyatt, as 5 yo Richard Underwood.2
Census1860	Daniel appeared on the 1860 Federal Census Johnson Co., Georgia in the household of his parents, John T. Underwood and Jane Wyatt, as 13 yo Daniel R Underwood.4
Milit-Service*	Daniel Richard Underwood served with Co. B, 12th Georgia Battalion Light Artillery during the Civil War between 1863 and April 1865. His affadavit states, I was shot through both thighs & a minie ball still in one thigh which causes said thigh to smell badly & be sore & stiff & almost useless to me.1
Marriage*	He married Nancy Rachel Smith on 20 March 1866 in Johnson Co., Georgia. My preliminary research suggests their children were George O, Julius D, Robert Lafayette, and Mattie L V Underwood. They had at least 5 children based on a '5 born with 2 living' entry in the 1900 census. The known children were Census records for 1880-1910 are readily available and they confirm these names.5,3
Death*	Daniel died on 5 January 1914 at age 68.3
Burial*	He was buried at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, Johnson Co., Georgia. Headstone photo is available at Find A Grave.3

ResearchNote*	Research Note of 4 February 2021 re Ancestry trees. There is a major discrepancies between Ancestry's James Wyatt Family Tree (JWFT) and Find A Grave. A woman named Sarah Elizabeth Underwood may have m1 James Bachelor ca. 1865. This is claimed by Find A Grave but not by JWFT. I fInd no evidence for this marriage nor have I found them in the 1870 census. One Sarah R(!) Underwood married William Wesley Jones in 1872 in Laurens County. Note her surname in this marriage record is Underwood, not Bachelor and that her middle initial is R, not E. It's not at all clear that this Sarah is our Sarah (daughter of John T & E J Wyatt Underwood).      A couple named Sarah & William Jones are in the 1880 census in Macon Co., GA, with children Mary, Billnah, and Charles. In 1900 they are still in Macon County with children Charles & Lizzie H Jones. Wesley's sister Lorie(?) and mother Baralby Jones are living with them. Baralby is listed as mother-in-law rather than mother but the surname Jones makes it clear she is Wesley's mother, not Sarah's.      Find A Grave claims that Sarah's parents are Reuben O Underwood & Baralby Rolly Bumby Spain.3

ResearchNote*	Research Note of 6 February 2021 re conflicting info. Ancestry's James Wyatt Family Tree (JWFT) & Find A Grave disagree. The census record supports JWFT. Our John T Underwood probably married Fannie E Wyatt, d/o Fnu & Queen A Elizabeth Wyatt. Their children, supported by the 1900 & 1910 censuses, were James P, Dollie Mae, Leila J, Ida N, and Maudie Lee Underwood. The John T Underwood who Find A Grave shows having married Clara A Rogers in 1890 is almost certainly a different person. The issue listed by Find A Grave should show up in the 1900-1910 censuses but none of the do so.3

Birth*	Frederick, son of John T. Underwood and Jane Wyatt, was born circa 10 August 1874 in Georgia. The stonecarver botched his headstone. It should probably read 1874, not 1864. Fred was 6 yo in the 1880 census, 25 yo in the 1900, 35 yo in the 1910, etc. Clearly he was not born in 1864.1,2
Census1880	Frederick appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Wrightsville, Johnson Co., Georgia in the household of his parents, John T. Underwood and Jane Wyatt, as 6 yo son Frederick W Underwood.1
Marriage*	He married Ardilla Herndon on 10 November 1895 in Montgomery Co., Georgia. Fred is listed as F M on the license, F W on the return.      My preliminary research suggests their children were Daniel, Mary J, and Nines Underwood. They are all three in one or more of the 1910-1930 censuses living with their parents.3,2
Death	Frederick was mentioned in the obituary of John T. Underwood, dated 22 March 1909, as son Fred Underwood of Baxley, GA.4,5
Death*	Frederick died on 2 November 1947.2
Burial*	He was buried at Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Baxley, Appling Co., Georgia. Headstone photo is available at Find A Grave.2

Census1930*	James and Lonie appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Calhoun, Gordon Co., Georgia, enumerated 9 April 1930, as 30 yo Church of God minister James L & 26 yo wife Lonie Underwood. Their children 8 yo James, 7 yo Lois, 5 yo Joseph, 3.3 yo Paul, and 0.11 yo David Underwood were listed as living with them, as well as 67 yo widowed mother Rebecca Underwood.7
