William Adams1
M, #5882, b. 1 June 1812, d. 5 July 1878
Birth* | William was born on 1 June 1812. William's obit, included with his Find A Grave memorial, says he died at age 69 yo which works out to a birth year ca. 1809. I'm going with the date given in the memorial.2 |
Marriage* | His fourth marriage was to Margaret A. "Maggie" Wyatt, daughter of James Wyatt and Lucretia "Cressey" Hobbs, on 11 March 1875 at Laurens Co., Georgia. This was William's 4th marriage according to the obit included in his Find A Grave memorial. Lucia Augusta Stanley was one of those wives with whom he had at least one child, Judge John Samuel Adams. The 1910 census confirms that William & Maggie had only one child.3,1,2 |
Death | William died on 5 July 1878 at age 66.2 |
Death* | William died on 5 July 1878 at age 66. Date consistent with fact his wife is widowed in the 1880 census.2,4 |
Burial* | He was buried at Adams Family Cemetery in Dublin, Laurens Co., Georgia. Headstone photo & obit are available at Find A Grave. This cemetery has no LatLong info and I've been unable to locate it.2 |

Victor J. Wyatt1
M, #5888, b. 1885, d. 10 July 1957
Birth* | Victor was born in 1885 in Georgia. Based on fact Victor is nephew of Margaret Wyatt (3733), his father must have been one of Margaret's brothers - James Hardy, Drury Julian, John L., Daniel W., or George F. Wyatt. James, Drury are almost definitely out of consideration. John is probably out as we have an extensive list of his children and there's no one who could be Victor. Daniel and George are the most likely.2,1,3 |
Census1910 | Victor appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Bailey's 391st GMD, Laurens Co., Georgia, as 25 yo boarder Victor J Wyatt in the household of Edward J. "Ned" Graham and Mary C. "Clemmie" Wyatt; as 45 yo farmer Ned E & 42 yo wife Mary C Graham.4 |
Marriage* | He married Flossie Mae Ellington on 22 December 1915 in Laurens Co., Georgia.5,3 |
Census1920* | Victor and Flossie appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Bailey's 391st GMD, Laurens Co., Georgia, enumerated 13 January 1920, as 35 yo farmer Victor G & 25 yo wife Flossie M Wyatt, as well as Aunt Margaret Wyatt.2 |
Death* | Victor died on 10 July 1957 in Laurens Co., Georgia.3 |
Burial* | He was buried at Dublin Memorial Gardens in Dublin, Laurens Co., Georgia. Joint headstone photo available at Find A Grave.3 |

Birth* | Bolling, son of Drury Hobbs and Sarah Sills, was born in 1796 in North Carolina.1,3 |
Marriage* | He married Sarah Clements on 27 July 1820 in Laurens Co., Georgia. My preliminary research suggests their children were Lucretia Hobbs Wyatt, Nancy Hobbs Wright, Drury, Sarah A. Hobbs Perry, Andrew Jackson, and Larry Hobbs. Bolling's siblings likely included Berry, J. Larry, and John L. Hobbs.4,5,6 |
Census1830* | Bolling appeared on the 1830 Federal Census of Laurens Co., Georgia, with a household listed as 110001-020001 as 30-39 yo Bolling Hobbs.7 |
Census1840 | Bolling appeared on the 1840 Federal Census of Laurens Co., Georgia, with a household listed as 0111001-201100101 as 40-49 yo Bolin Hobbs. Wife Sarah likely the female 40-49 yo. Their children fill out the enumeration. Identity of the female 60-69 yo is unclear.8,9 |
Census1850 | Bolling and Sarah appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of 49th GMD, Laurens Co., Georgia, enumerated 27 September 1850, as 54 yo farmer Bollin & 51 yo (unreadable, perhaps Mrs) Hobbs. Their children Andrew Jackson, Larry, Sarah A. and Nancy were listed as living with them.10,11 |
Death* | Bolling died in 1856 in Laurens Co., Georgia.1,3 |
Burial* | He was buried at Wells Family Cemetery, Laurens Co., Georgia. Bolling and Sarah are both buried at Wells Family Cemetery, but have memorial headstones at Marie Baptist Church Cemetery. The cenotaph at Marie Baptist reads, Pioneer religious leader, chief organizer of First Baptist Church, Dublin, Georgia. Pastor of that church 1841-1855..6,12 |

Susan Francis Hobbs1,2
F, #5903, b. 1859, d. 7 September 1907
Birth* | Susan, daughter of Drury Hobbs and Sarah Robinson Kennedy, was born in 1859 in Georgia. Smith's date is 1859. The 1860 census suggests 1859 also, though showing 'Francis' as a male. Find A Grave's date from gravestone is 13 Oct 1862. This can only make sense if a son Francis was born 1859, then died, then a daughter Frances was born a couple years later. In 1870 "Fanny" is a 9yo female, a date which more closely supports the 1862 claim by Find A Grave.1,2,3 |
Census1860 | Susan appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Dublin, Laurens Co., Georgia in the household of her parents, Drury Hobbs and Sarah Robinson Kennedy, as 1 yo male Francis Hobbs.1 |
Census1870 | Susan appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Dublin, Laurens Co., Georgia in the household of her parents, Drury Hobbs and Sarah Robinson Kennedy, as 9 yo Fanny Hobbs.4 |
Marriage* | She married Dr. D. Web Wyatt on 17 October 1879 in Laurens Co., Georgia. No issue per Smith. I currently believe this D. W. (Web per Smith, so likely Daniel Webster Wyatt) is no relation to our other Wyatt line (James, James Hardy, etc.) I reviewed at all 270 persons currently listed for Marie Baptist. Except for Hobbs, Jones (one known) I found no one else we know. There are some familiar surnames: namely, Daniell (with two Ls), Dominy.5,2,3 |
Death* | Susan died on 7 September 1907 in Georgia.3 |
Burial* | She was buried at Marie Baptist Church Cemetery, Laurens Co., Georgia. Headstone photo available at Find A Grave.3 |
